Vandana Setia's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of Dr V. Setia for a while and due to lapse of insurance and some personal issues I did not see her for about a year and a half. I had to cancel my last two appts due to a family emergency. I called this morning to see if Dr Setia would see me if I would need to come on a a new patient or not. The woman that answered the phone was extremely rude with a condescending tone...and she had the audacity to say I was a no show for several appts when first I called ahead of time to cancel two appts. What a rude obnoxious staff member I will never visit that office again. The front office staff is supposed to be the face of the practice....this staff member needs to be evaluated for that attitude.

Dr.Setia is amazing but her stuff is rude.

Dr. Setia is absolutely wonderful and thorough. The office staff however are very unhelpful and rude. I called for a referral and was told I hadn’t been a patient since 2018 which is not true at all since I was under her care for chronic conditions and medication. Then when they find my info they somehow blame me for the fact that I have two charts. That’s an office error not a patient error. I understand there are certain referral rules to follow but you don’t have to be rude and abrasive while delivering it. The staff also acted like I was crazy for calling them when I was just following the instructions given to me by my insurance provider when disputing a large bill due to my referral having expired for that appt during the time I was under Dr. Setia’s care.

I am a former patient of Dr. Setia. I loved her but her staff is always so rude and never any help.

I saw Dr. Setia for well over ten years and I have recommended her to scores of people. She diagnosed one of my stepdaughters with cancer and had been revered by our family. When another daughter aged out of her pediatricians office and needed a PCP following a medical crisis Dr. Setia looked over her paperwork and summarily said NO to taking her on as a patient. My daughter was in dire and immediate need of a caring professional and we had nowhere to turn. Dr. Setias callous refusal to help me a longterm loyal patient in a moment of family crisis has compounded a very difficult situation. Ive left her care and would not recommend her knowing what I know now.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Setia and her staff Dr. Setia is very caring and informative. She will refer you to a specialist before she tries to guess at whats wrong. I didnt give 5 stars because she doesnt give refills on medication. Only a 90 day supply and then you have to be seen. Ive been on the same medication for as long as I can remember approx 10 years. I constantly run out of medicine which is very dangerous. They wont refill medication when the pharmacy requests it and by the time the pharmacy notifies me of the denial and I contact the office Im down to just a couple days worth of medication. Then I have to be seen not just schedule an appt but actually be seen and get the Rx sent into the pharmacy and have it shipped to me.

Dr. Setia has been my PCP for 18 years since I moved to Athens. At her first glimpse of me she noted something something potentially serious which no other doc hadnt identified over decades. I do and have trust her with anything.

I am a new patient of Dr. Setia and she is such an amazing doctor. I noticed she cares about her patients so much. She took very good care of me during my first visit to her. Im glad I have her as my doctor.

This office has been like family to me been with Dr. Setia for 17 years everyones very professional and very courteous.
