I was admitted to this hospital twice this year ,once for Pneumonia/Covid 19 .. Doctors were very informative about my treatment, nurses were attentive and friendly , room was cleaned on time . I walked out of that unit when many did not have the same outcome, I am grateful for that !
Drove 6 hours from Florida after their ER sent me away still in pain with no answers. These guys did a CT Scan & determined it was my gallbladder & it needed to come out. They also managed my pain until I coul be transferred to Gainesville for the surgery. Would be 5 stars but for the "hallway" chairs. I needed to put my feet up because of lower back issues & couldn't. Staff was great.
The place is great and the staff is great but the commucation is not so good. They need to work on that
I'm giving one star due to the terrible bedside manner, lack of compassion, and lack of care. The condition I have could result in bleeding internally. Whether that has happened or not I will not know due to the fact that No tests were ran or even ordered. I was patronized and belittled by the PA that brought me back. I didn't want to come in the first place much less feel unworthy of needing care. God forbid you are sick or injured, I would not recommend this place. Situations like this are why the bigger hospitals are overcrowded. I have never written a bad review. My primary care doctor was even upset at the care I have been given if that is any inclination. I pray to God I am not bleeding out internally, but if I am this hospital will become notified in a formal letter.
To the lady at the front office staff at NE GA Barrow Medical hospital:When I came to you today for help for my daughter who was in excruciating pain, you failed at your job. You were more concerned with irrelevant information that could have been gathered at a later time Instead of taking that time to ask the important questions and get her the help she needed. You yelled at her for hyperventilating and about to pass out because she was in so much pain. She was literally yelling and begging “help me” to the entire hospital staff and you wanted her to stand up on a scale to be weighed!! She couldn’t move! You rudely asked her dad to leave because it was hospital policy to only have 1 parent due to COVID. And when he sat on the curb in front of the hospital doors you called security for him to be removed. Empathy was all we were asking for today-NOT for the rules to be changed for us but that you treated us with respect instead of cold hearted disregard. Kindness could have gone a long way.
Highly unprofessional emergency room. I wasn't aware that were supposed to divulge any of you're medical history past or present in the presence of patients/patients family. So being ask any questions that had to be answered in front of anyone beside medical personnel is definitely unprofessional.

I hadn't been to this hospital in a few years but hoping it had turned around. I didn't get the lady at checks in name but she was about the only positive experience I had. She was wonderful! The male RN who took my vitals was just straight up nasty. I couldn't get a word in. Don't ask me a question if you don't want to hear hear answer! I was apprehensive when I found out that the PA, Lakisha was going to be assisting me. I had issues with her in the past... being it had been a few years, I hoped that it would be better. Wishful thinking. She still has an attitude and it felt like me being there was was inconvenience for her. No bedside manner whatsoever! I tried to be understanding with the pandemic but it seems as though attitude has always been an issue with her. Grateful for the nurses and front check in lady who helped me, however.
I went to this hospital recently I believe it was a Friday I had to go there becuase I have faint I currently have a heart monitor on at the moment and the people of the heart monitor told me to go to the nearest hospital quickly as I get there they check me in everything going ok so far but it's a mess the waiting room is no longer a waiting area it had other patients that are being seen there the nurse at the front desk litterly thinking it was a sticker that was on my chest. I would have given this place a 1 star review if the other staff members and doctors weren't nice but they were very kind and understanding and helpful
The hospital is clean the nurses were excellent the doctor was in within 10 minutes I don't know why all the negative reviews they took very good care of me in a timely matter all the nurses are super sweet and my care was excellent

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
