List of Inner Voyage Recovery Center - Atlanta Drug Rehab's Reviews
The group time here has helped me open up to a new prospective in life. They gave me the tools to deal with addiction while maintaining a strong professional standard. The mixture of one on one and group has bonded me with people and helped me come to a better understanding of who I am in this world.
My wife went through the program here (PHP, sober living, IOP) and it did her a tremendous amount of good - this was the professional help that we needed to start tackling some of her issues that were manifesting in addictive tendencies. She would probably give this place an outstanding 5 star review for the positive impact that it has had on her. So why am I posting a 2-star review? I had a horrible experience as the spouse of the one going through treatment. You see, hitting rock bottom and going through a program like this puts you through a roller coaster of emotions, and neither one of us had any experience with it. As it turned out, my wife was in such a bad place mentally that she was unable to participate/keep up with life at home with our young children, so as part of the program she was recommended to move into sober living for a period to focus on sobriety. For about 3 months while she was in sober living, she turned completely distant and cold towards me. She was newly medicated, told me she didn't want to come back and live at home anymore. She used some very aggressive and "woke" language towards me that I had never heard her use - it was as if she was a different person that flipped a switch and suddenly she lost all respect for me as I became some background character of her life. She showed no remorse for the impact and burden she was imposing on the family, painted me out like some bad guy, and told me in our brief encounters that her therapist informed her that she shouldn't feel compelled to resume any relationships for up to a year. All this while I was working 60 hour weeks and primary caretaker of our two kids (both 5 and under), just hustling through one of the hardest times of my life. I was confused and felt abandoned, and I was just about suspecting that this place was indoctrinating my wife against me. I was googling to try to understand what the hell was going on (could it be that she have a rehab romance)? I called and left two messages, asking for someone to call me back and help me understand just what the hell was going on - I couldn't get any information out of my wife because she just didn't have the emotional bandwidth to deal with it. No one ever returned my calls, and I was NOT once involved in the process (I expected some sort of family therapy sessions or something at the very least). My wife is definitely to blame here for how she handled the whole situation, but Inner Voyage also dropped the ball as well. Ultimately, I was lead to believe that we were headed for divorce, and so I had some consultations with divorce attorneys on the matter. It was the LAWYER who informed me that her behavior was not entirely out of line - that these programs prioritize sobriety over EVERYTHING else and that she likely needed more time to process what was going on. After I had gone through the EXCRUCIATING and difficult process of mentally accepting divorce as a possible outcome of our marriage, it was the damn lawyer that put my mind at ease - not Inner Voyage. Why couldn't Inner Voyage simply return my calls and relay the same information? Why didn't they explain to me upfront what I may expect? I did the research and found the place and checked her in, I was very supportive, I paid the damn bills. I should have been involved, there should have been communication. We are now in marriage/couples counseling to address some of the damage that was done. At the end of the day, I will admit that Inner voyage has brought us to the right destination, but boy was the journey unnecessarily rough for me. If anyone in management reads this you need to do a post mortem on how/why this occurred and consider implementing changes for how spouses participate with the program. This was unacceptable.
This place has enabled, encouraged and shaped me to become the person I was always meant to be. I am eternally grateful to all of those here that pieced me back together.
I am incredibly grateful for my experience at Inner Voyage. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with compassion, respect, and genuine care. They truly see you as a person, not just a patient. The program itself is well-structured, supportive, and thoughtfully designed to address both the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical sides of recovery. The counselors, physicians and staff are knowledgeable, patient, and deeply invested in each individual’s progress. I always felt heard, supported, and encouraged—especially during the harder moments. This program helped me build a strong foundation for sobriety and gave me tools I will carry with me long after leaving. I am in a much healthier, clearer, and more hopeful place because of this experience. I would highly recommend this center to anyone seeking real support, healing, and lasting change. Thank you to the entire team for what you do—you truly make a difference. You have forever changed my life. Sincerely, Hillary

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
