Don't waste your time with this one, they are not handling the shut down well. Filled out forms and sent in. I received a message that they had my forms and to call and set up an appointment. When I called back, they said they did not have anything from me. I sent them again, and we were able to set up an appointment. Just one available that week, at 8:30 am. I had the call with the PA, and it seemed to go well. He said that I would be contacted in the next week for imaging appointment. Nothing happens, so I call back a couple of weeks later. I am told that I will hear from someone and get an email and phone call. Well, it has been another week, and nothing. I keep checking my spam folder thinking maybe I missed something. This is after I had a call with them discussing pain, issues with walking, and sleeping.
Dr. Hyman and Danelle are the BEST! The entire team is friendly, professional, thorough, and treat you as if you’re their only patient. Every detail is taken care of so the patient can focus on the surgery ahead and the healing process. I had bilateral hip arthroscopy procedures and each have went flawlessly with quick recovery.

After months of being dismissed and written off, Dr. Hyman refused to acknowledge our daughters pain from a Labral Tear and FAI which was evident in an MRI. We were told that surgery to fix the issue would cause more harm than good and that she would grow out of it. We finally had it when he had the nerve to say that our 15 yr. old daughter had a neurological problem that he could guarantee 100% that the pain wasnt coming from the Labral Tear or FAI, and that we should get a second opinion because we questioned his expertise after a cortisone shot failed and caused her an additional problem to her leg. When I was frustrated and started crying out of sheer disbelief at his inability to provide us with any solutions, he judged me harshly and made personal statements that he should have refrained from making (his bed side manor is terrible). Thankfully out of his own anger with us he referred us to another specialist who was polar opposite. Our new specialist who was exceptional, did the surgery and our daughter has recovered 100% and is pain free. Thank you Dr. Hyman for referring us to someone who did help our daughter.
I was referred to Dr. Hyman by my physical therapist after my hip pain wasn’t improving to baseline. Dr. Hyman’s team recommended surgical repair but in the time before the surgery, I was hurt at work and became a workman’s comp case. Fortunately that resolved and I was able to have Dr. Hyman perform the surgery, but what stuck out to me was that the two ortho physicians workman’s comp required me to see both said without hesitation that Dr. Hyman is who they professionally recommended to do the surgery. It was a huge relief to me the detail and time this staff dedicated to my hip doing very thorough assessments and really listening to me. They understood me. I saw Danette, PA and Doug, PA who were detail oriented, through, and excellent in relaying information to me in a way I understood. Dr. Hyman had excellent bedside manner and was very thorough. Diane in the office was phenomenal in her patience and helpfulness to me. The front desk staff are always very kind, prompt, and professional. Overall I’m very happy to have trusted this practice with my hip surgery.
I've had two appointments with Dr. Hyman about my hips. Both times I've been met by a PA only. When I'm trying to see what kind of surgery I need I would like for my potential surgeon to be involved.
Dr. Hyman and his staff are exceptional. I've seen him and two of his PAs, and each time am blown away by the level of care and attention they provide. No matter how many questions I have, or follow up concerns, they have been there for me from the first time I called their office for an appointment. I've had two hip surgeries with Dr. Hyman (both sides), and now my husband is treating with him as well for a knee injury, and I can't imagine seeing any other physician. The front desk staff and billing manager are courteous, kind, and responsive, with a true ability to help navigate the confusing world of insurance and compensation. I didn't believe I would ever fully regain my ability and reduce my level of pain and am so grateful I saw him.

Do not waste your time or money. Very disappointed. Went in for my first exam saw a PA then the Dr comes in for maybe 5 mins and introduces his self. Says he will look over my imaging and for me to follow up with him. He was suppose to look at my imaging and determine if a bone spur could be the cause of my problem. Go in for follow up never see the Dr only see the PA who is nice but they clearly never examined my full records or imaging. The Pa was stuck on a diagnosis that had just been ruled out prior to the visit which I tried to state to him. The Dr never came in. I was never examined at either visit nor did they attempt to feel the popping I continue to have in my shoulder. I was very disappointed with this office especially since all their advertisements are Top Doctor for second opinions. I can not tell you anything about the Dr. the PA was nice but they clearly had not reviewed my images. Also, my appointment was to see the DR. so I asked at the front if it was common for the Dr to not come in she stated he is busy with surgery, which was not a surgical day for him, and it's up to the PA if he needs him to. Clearly they need to let the patient know if they are just seeing a PA. If I had known I would not of wasted my time or money.
My daughter had hip and knee surgery with Dr. Hyman. He is very personable, detailed, and does not hurry through an appointment.
Doug is an awesome and very knowledgeable PA
The staff very nice and explains everything in detail at each visit. First visit was with PA Doug who is very informative. Second visit met Dr. Hyman who spends a lot of time explaining injury, options, reasoning & takes time to get to know you personally. Third appointment was pre-op who was with PA Clay. She is amazing. After getting to know the staff including the manager Jim, everyone is caring & is truly concerned about the patient.
The staff and Dr. Hyman are the best
I made an appointment to see Dr. Hyman for a 2nd opinion several years ago. I specifically wanted to see him as his bio indicates that he is one of the 10 best orthopaedic doctors in Atlanta.I was seen by a PA not Dr. Hyman. I presented my records, x-rays, and mri with me regarding my left knee. I had had surgery on my left knee, but was having some pain in the knee still a few month after the surgery.Long story short, the PA recommended left knee replacement surgery as the bones in my knee were almost rubbing together. But since I didn't see Dr. Hyman, I never had the surgery. You must make certain that you are seeing a doctor who has your best interest and is really concerned about you. Dr. Hyman was too busy to see me and his officestaff knew that I'd reguested tosee him especially for my 2nd opinion. This didn't happen nordid I ever receive a written reportwith recommendations from hisoffice.
we havent actually seen Dr. Hyman, but the PAs and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them
I have been an active athletic type person since my school days (many moons ago). I injured my foot a few months ago which has now resulted in an injury to my knee. I researched Sports/Orthopedic Physicians and Dr Hyman's name consistently came up. I made an appointment and so relieved that I did.

The service was impeccably professional and impressive beginning with the front desk staff to the nurses and PA who attended me before Dr Hyman came in.

Immediately, the doctor moved my knee around and examined it. I am now scheduled for an MRI and Xray and feel that recovery is well one the way!

Highly recommended!
My wife had two appointments with Dr Hyman for a hip problem. She never spoke or saw him either time, only talked to the nurse and a PA. At the second appointment following getting an MRI, she asked to speak to the Dr directly and was rudely told that she had to specifically tell the scheduler when making the appointment that she wanted to see him and not the PA. We have seen a number of top Orthopaedic surgeons at Resurgens and other practices and have never had this experience. Waste of time.

I saw Dr. Hyman several years ago when after a bad fall the labrum in my hip was torn. I assumed I'd need surgery and was recommended to Dr. Hyman since he's one of the few that perform that surgery in the Atlanta area. He suggested trying other treatments first saying that if we can get inflammation down long enough, the tear may heal on its own. It took a good 6 months or so but my hip did heal and surgery was avoided. His staff is great very professional yet personable. I highly recommend him. It's a bit of a wait to get in with him, but given my awful experiences with a few other orthopedists, the wait was well worth it.
