I've been a patient here for a few years now and can't understand why the reviews are low. I see Mrs. Jessica West, NP and she's been amazing.
I have been going to this doctor for just over 6 months, I like all the staff besides this one front desk lady in Woodstock, if you ever get the chance to visit you will know exactly who I am talking about. everyone else is extremely nice and pleasant to deal with. They take awhile to call & discuss your blood work once it comes through; I would recommend calling and checking in when you receive your notification from the lab.
Good bedside matters great surgeon
Great doc!
Awesome Dr and staff. I moved to Dr Kaufman's care mid year this year. I transitioned from Obama Care from the marketplace to a nice Supplement from Aetna. So he accepts all levels of insurance. And lower income cash pay options. He addressed all my issues that are important to me. Also, he ordered a bone density test and found i needed a prescription level for Calcium. I like how he is nonjudgmental of his patients and wants to help me be the healthiest I can be.
The doctor and staff are very accommodating and made some great referrals that were needed. I feel very comfortable with them as my primary care physician!
The receptionists here are extremely rude, I've been a patient here for almost a year now and I'm fed up. I might be able to look past their awful attitudes and lack of empathy if it was possible to see one doctor more than one time here. Although every doctor I've seen has been super nice and knowledgeable, it's important to build a sense of comfort with someone when your health is at risk. Every single nurse here that I have encountered is top of the line, unbelievably patient, caring and kind.
I waited 90 minutes for a simple prescription renewal. This isn't the first time me or my family members have had excessive waits. This is the last time I see this physician practice. If you value your time (as they should) then choose a different doctor.
Just had my first appointment with Dr. Nesmith, despite what the reviews say I throughly enjoyed my visit. I was taken back and seen in a very timely manner & truly felt like Dr. Nesmith listened to everything I had to say. I would highly recommend this office & Dr. Nesmith to anyone! Will definitely be back.
Dr. Kaufman has 2 clinics, Midtown and Woodstock. I prefer the Woodstock clinic because it is less packed than the midtown hospital location. Dr. Kaufman cares about his patients and even though he has a high volume he remembers and treats each patient special.
I praise God for getting me in with Dr. Kaufmann. After beating a dead drum with the physicians that were my personal doctors and I worked along side of them in the hospital with other patients. I quickly realized I wouldn't see Christmas if an Emory-Affiliated team of Dr's can't give me any answers. He is not only my personal physician, but as a medical professional. I am proud to recommend him for any concerns about your health!
Dr. NeSmith is fabulous; she is young and energetic and thinks outside the box, unlike the traditional physicians who are pill pushers. Unfortunately, the examining rooms are furnished with ghetto examining tables and obsolete instruments. THe staff is very pleasant but clearly overwhelmed.
An absolute unprofessional place! I have seen Dr. Nesmith twice and each time I had labs drawn. She seems ok, but I was a little uncomfortable during my second visit, because she came into the waiting room with two other people and never bothered to introduce them, or tell me who they were, so it made my visit with her awkward, because I could not really talk to her and asked personal questions like I wanted to.
I called the office about three weeks after that visit to find out my second test results, since no one ever called or even sent a letter. I was transferred a nurses voicemail and left a message and it has been over a month, still no has returned my call. So, I call today to followup, got transferred back to the nurse's station, only to be put on hold for over seven minutes, and the nurse never came back to the phone.
It is time to search for another primary care physician. This time, I will read the reviews, before I choose!
This has been my primary care office for three years or more. Well, the staff really is like keystone cops. I even heard one reception person tell an overweight patient what a waste Weightwatchers is, and it is still one of the few things out there that works. I am sure hiring this crew has to do with budgetary concerns. I like the lady doctor, Dr. Kaufman, she is competent and helpful. A shame about the staff.
Not a single problem, the staff was great, the service was fine, the lab people know what they're doing, I was totally impressed. Dealt with Dr. Kaufman, seems to be a good guy he show genuine concern for my issues and they were dealt with promptly. I'm happy that I found this clinic and this doctor. Absolutely no issues
This isn't a legitimate doctor's office. The staff is not educated or informed on basically any of their own policies or guidelines. It's highly unlikely you'll see an actual Doctor.

The nurse practitioners on duty love running every test they can imagine. If you don't have insurance good luck figuring out anything about your condition.

They're also very slow to update critical medical tests involving lifethreatening conditions. I experienced it myself and it was terrifying. Do not expect to depend on this doctor's office for anything.
The previous revews are several years old, however I was there last week for the first time and my experience is very similiar. Dr. Nesmith seemed very capable and pleasant, but the other staff must be stretched to thin to handle their work load. I will be looking for a new provider.
After being a patient with this clinic for over 20 years I am now changing my primary care. As of late the treatment from the staff to the doctors has been offending and extremely unprofessional. Shame me once, shame on you, shame me twice and I go elsewhere. I do not think his new digs in Woodstock has helped but only hurt him and the clinics reputation. Enter at your own risk.
If I could give them zero stars, I would. My previous doctor moved away, so I chose to start seeing Dr. Nesmith at the Kaufman clinic. The practice is very close to my house, and she's Emory educated seemed like a good idea. I really don't have anything bad to say about Dr. Nesmith herself, but the rest of the staff is HORRIBLE. They are the most unorganized, uneducated bunch of people I've ever had to deal with! I've been to the office twice, and now they want me to come in for a third visit in about a 6 month period and I'm not sick! Evidently, needing a routine birth control prescription requires being seen every 56 months or more?? Not to mention the trouble I had actually getting the prescription in the first place! That took 3 months and about a dozen phone calls to their very incompetent support staff! I'm not joking at all! Do not go to this practice! I'm pretty sure they're trying to commit insurance fraud by requiring healthy people to come in for exams so often. Either that, or the support staff is set on default to tell you to come in no matter what simple thing you need. Absolutely terrible practice!
There is one very nice and competent doctor in this office, Dr. Gray.
Sadly, the staff and organization are horrible. Noone gets back to you and they are the most disorganized medical office I have ever been in. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a few times. The poor service was consistent. I'm finding a new doctor.
