List of Damon Lee's Reviews
My old physician retired so I found Dr. Damon Lee in Daly City, CA, and had scheduled my first visit. I asked Datalink ITS (record keeper company) to send my complete medical history to his office. The form I filled out to authorize the release asked me for Dr. Damon Lee's office address and fax #. The form did not specify how they will deliver my records. I tried to get Dr. Lee's office email but the receptionist roared, "We don't have an email here!" then hang up. Nevertheless, they ended up faxing a 150 page to his office. His office called me hysterical about the whole thing yelling at me to make it stop. Frantically, I called Datalink and left a message, and also emailed them. Moreover, Dr. Damon Lee's office called me back and continuously yelled at me because Datalink could not stop the fax. I was also informed after being scolded that because of this, Dr. Damon Lee is refusing to see me. I was stunned and distressed with their decision not to see me because of this error made by a third party. I explained that this should not affect their decision to see a patient.I reported this incident to the Medical Board of California because I believe a physician should not refuse to see patients for inconsequential incidents such as this. The lady at the front desk is extremely vicious (I am using a nice word here). I can't even express in words how she screamed at me and didn't even let me speak. I managed to ask her though if she had seen the reviews about her on yelp and she simply said she didn't care and slammed the phone on me!
I'm so grateful that Dr. Damon Lee accepted my mother as a new patient. After years of neglect and bad medical treatment by her previous doctors, my 89 year old mother is finally receiving excellent medical care because she became a new patient of Dr. Damon Lee. He spent more than an hour listening to her and interacting with her in her first appointment. He immediately resolved two of her issues with prescriptions . Within days , her legs were feeling much better and she was able to sleep through the night for most nights. He cared enough to set up follow up appointments to check on her other issues. Dr. Lee is also reviewing her lab results carefully to adjust her medications. He has already made my mother's life more comfortable. I trust Dr. Lee will continue to improve my mother's health and her life ! I highly recommend Dr. Damon Lee . He is an expert doctor in geriatric care and a very caring person.
There isn't a smarter, kinder or compassionate doctor. Dr. Lee is an amazing humanitarian. He always works tirelessly in his passion of helping others. He has been a true gift to my family in the care of both our Mother and Father. His experience and education is outstanding. Thank you Barbara for being so amazing. You are an integral part of the office in all your roles. Thank you.
The lady who picks up the calls is very rude and is the reason why I am going to seek another doctor. It doesn't make any sense that prior to seeing the physician, my blood pressure has rised because of her poor attitude, unprofessionalism, and disrespect towards patients. She treated me in a rude and condescending way, and I didn't deserve it. I gave her no reasons to treat me this way. It's intolerable and unacceptable. Outright lack of professionalism. The staff that is customer facing plays an important role and she failed; she should be removed. If you take a look at some of the other reviews, sounds like I'm not the only one who feels this way towards her disrespect to patients.
Dr damon lee is the best primary care physician anyone could ever ask for! He's very thorough and cares alot. he makes sure to cover every point and answer every question you could ever have. He makes sure he doesn't miss anything during checkups and asks so many questions just to make sure everything is fine. Im very grateful for him being my fathers primary care physician, couldn't ask for someone better.
I have been going to Dr. Lee for over 30 yrs. The fact that I go out of my way to have him as my doctor (he's not part of my HMO or PPO and I don't live near his office), is evidence of how much I LOVE and trust the guy (& his staff). He is competent and caring in every way!!!
I've worked in medical offices as an administrator, and know how difficult it is to provide patient, personalized care when you're tied to a tight appointment schedule, but Dr. Lee and his staff have given my husband and me attentive and thoughtful care for the past 5 years. Dr. Lee always thoroughly reads through our charts, never makes us feel rushed, and even when we come in with "not a whole lot to report", he asks relevant lifestyle questions to assure that there's nothing else he might do to assist us in preventative care or improved overall health. He always calls us to give us test results-- the mundane and the newsworthy.Dr. Lee clearly takes pride in caring for his patience and considers internal medicine as a serious discipline which much be constantly studied and contemplated. He is the physician you want on your team if a serious diagnosis is to be tackled and treatment options considered. He has a significant senior population of patients but I love that as a patient in middle-age, he discusses preventative care with me to maintain my good health. Despite being out of the area, we continue to return him for our annual exams.
Yes...Dr Lee and staff- Barbara/Monica/Rosa are as good as it gets......Dr Lee is a compasionate geriatrician who listens well to patient problems and emphatizes with them-- and he knows his medicine well.....Thank God for physicians like Dr Lee...and for Barbara/Monica/Rosa-Congratulations and thank you for job well done!! I have been their patient for more than 25 years....
Been seeing him for 6 years now and my husband has been seeing him for 3. He is the best -- and so is his STAFF. So much so that every time I go in or speak with them, I got out of my way to tell Dr. Lee and his staff how GREAT they are and how much I appreciate them. I almost hesitate to say this because I don't want him to be deluged with patients and unable to see m husband and I! I can't imagine why Tiffany said something bad about them -- they are so good, SO responsive. When I hear Barbara's voice, I just relax. I can only imagine how much this comment hurts her -- she works so hard and is SO GOOD at what she does. (I'm 59, I've seen a lot of medical office staff in my life!)Just can't say enough about him and his staff. My husband and I have often commented to each other the difference it makes -- even though we're very healthy -- having a doctor who is your PARTNER, who is actually working with us to ensure that we do everything to MAINTAIN our current good health as we grow older...instead of just waiting for something bad to happen and then throw pills at it. He has a very "holistic" view of medicine...trying to keep all the parts healthy and working happily together -- which is EXACTLY what we wanted -- and love! The only problem is that he won't accept Covered CA -- like so many docs in SF, ,because it just doesn't pay enough. And this is NOT greed -- good heavens, Dr. Lee probably makes almost nothing, given the amount of time he spends with patients. Having said that, his office fees are as reasonable as anyone could expect, so I have never even considered changing docs. He's a TRUE gem.
I'm a fan of Dr. Lee, he is a very skilled, patient and kind doctor. What I have a problem with is his new phone answering service. I cannot stand calling and getting a stuffy British man's voice recording telling me that I'm not calling within business hours. What's worse, the same man will pick up the phone and repeat the same thing to you live, and he's rather rude. Someone needs to tell him to get off his pompous high horse. Dr. Lee, please start using another phone answering service, I cannot stand interacting with this British tool.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
