Dr. Omphroy and his staff did an amazing job on my first surgery ever. They were clear, concise, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. He is the expert on island when it comes to pterygium’s. I would recommend him to my family and friends because he takes his time with his patients and explains pre- and post- surgery in depth with realistic expectations. If you want an excellent eye doctor on Oahu I recommend him. I’m 3 weeks into recovery and doing great!

My first surgery ever was with Dr. Omphroy’s staff. I researched doctors that specialize in pterygiums and he has the most experience on island. He is thorough, clear, and honest with the pre- and post-op procedures and expectations. He takes his time with his patients and does excellent work! I’m 3 weeks into recovery and doing great.

I didn’t know what to expect since I was seen for an emergency visit and had never seen Dr. Omphroy before. My visit went real well. First of all, my wait wasn’t long eventhough I was a walk in emergency appointment. I did not feel rushed and the staff was very helpful. They were able to take care of my problem and gave me excellent service. Courtney checked me in and she was very nice and thorough. Dr. Omphroy answered my questions in terms I could understand. He also was very thorough and professional. I am very satisfied with my experience and eventhough I hope I don’t have another emergency, if I do I know where to go. I have recommend this office to all my friends and family.

I have confidence in Dr. Omphroy to take care of my eyes. Been seeing him regularly for many years. Doctor is knowledgeable and professional with a personal touch. He is patient when I ask him questions, repeating and explaining to me until I understand or even drawing out sketches. His STAFF/TEAM are also worth mentioning. Courtney and Aileen, his longest assistants, both express how much they enjoy working for Dr. Omphroy. You can tell by their pleasant and uplifting demeanor. They are always enthusiastic to perform their various duties. I always leave with a warm, wonderful feeling. AND the moment I walk in the office - my presence is always acknowledged with a smile and Hello!

I highly recommend Dr. Luis Omphroy. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Omphroy for several years. He is very thorough and answers our questions in terms we can understand. We have not had trouble with making appointments. We usually are seen at our appointment time and rarely have to wait. His staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep the office clean and have hand sanitizer available.
