List of Mark Grief's Reviews
Dr Mark Grief needs to work on his bed side manner, telling a patient that they'll never lose weight if they don't get Bariatric surgery is not encouraging. He may be a good surgeon but needs to work on his People skills. Take it with a grain of salt, but what I heard with my ears was pure and utter ignorance. Also, the fact Bariatric surgery is basically Medically Induced Anorexia. it may be life changing but to some its not and the alternative non surgical route shouldn't be trashed talked like Doctor Grief did. Do better Dr Grief.
Words can't express my gratitude for Dr. GRIEF & HIS AMAZING STAFF! You SAVED my life and I'm forever grateful for you.🙏 Living with DIABETES & HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE was a living nightmare.... The GASTRIC SLEEVE surgery was the BEST TOOL to get me back HEALTHY & HAPPY again!!! Thank you ALL so much!!! All my Love & Aloha, Janell💜
I was recommend to see Dr. Mark Grief for a large cyst on the back of my thigh. He did an excellent job during the procedure. After my stitches healed... there are no visible scars! Great job doc! :)
Best specialty doctor anyone could ask for! Great advice, helpful, patient, and with leave the room until absolutely sure you are satisfied with the information provided!Small downside: he's extremely busy but even with that, his staff will try their best to adjust his schedule if you're in desperate need of help.Professional and extremely knowledgeable in his field, I definitely recommend Dr. Grief!
Dr Grief is awesome!Location: Pali Momi Medical Center, fifth floor all the way at the Macys end of the floor. Front desk: Initial first patient paperwork is really light, I think a total of 2 pages back and front. Usually I fill out at least 4+ pages as a new patient checking in. Checking in staff was lovely, informative, quick and great aloha spirit.Dr Grief is as mentioned in the other yelp review not a huge talker. But most surgeons aren't. He is very knowledgable, didn't rush me, kept me informed, answered all of my questions, put me at ease post gallbladder removal surgery. Visited me everyday post op while I was admitted in the hospital. Great Dr!! He's A-list at what he does!!Parking: They do not validate, in my opinion they don't need to, parking prices are so cheap here.Free - 0-30 Minutes$3 - 30+ Minutes - 2 hours$5 - 2 hours - 4 hours$9 - 4 hours - 8 hours$25 - 8 hours - 24 hours$25 - Lost TicketValet Parking Location: 2nd floor $5Emergency Department $5 (With validation from ED)
What a fantastic surgeon!! He was very informative and knew how to put me at ease. Can't say enough about my recovery time.. it was painless and so easy to care for.. Great Doctor!! Very thankful, Leanne Tanida
Dr. Grief has helped to change my life. He and his Bariatric Staff are supportive and Encouraging in every way that you think you should have after getting a surgery like this. I couldn't have asked for a better place to get my Surgery done.
I had a couple of lumps that was starting to cause me pain and one was growing bigger. I told my doctor and he recommended me to see Dr. Grief. They called me to schedule a appointment. Like most doctors, if it is your first time, you should give yourself some time as they give you what seems like a never ending amount of paperwork to fill out. Within minutes of filling out my paperwork they called my name. (FYI make sure you sign in when you first get there) They did the usual, took my weight, (Yikes do I really weigh that much???), and my blood pressure. I'm sure my blood pressure was elevated because I found out how much I weigh now. Then off to wait in a room for the doctor to come in. I have to say that Dr. Grief doesn't have the best bedside manor although we did chat a little about the Superbowl. I'm not saying he doesn't know his stuff as I wouldn't have gone to see him, if he didn't. He doesn't do small talk. With that being said, if you have questions for him, you might want to have them ready as he is a busy person and will move on to the next patient if you don't act quick. The receptionist is kind of the same way. No warm smile, no hello... It is all business and I think for most of us that's ok as long as they do a good job in all aspects of professionalism. Like keeping our records safe and secure, getting back to us, so on and so forth. Over all I know, Dr. Grief is a professional and will do the procedure correctly and will answer all my questions and concerns. I just can't expect him to give me anything without me asking.
This Dr. Is outstabding in every way possible. My thanks to him for his excellent treatment and continuing care.
DR. GRIEF IS THE BEST SURGEON AROUND,AND ALSO THE FRIENDLY STAFF.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
