Dr. Sumida is first rate. That was the opinion of the nurse who helped us deliver our first child. After nearly 20 years, I still have that opinion. He really cares about his patients and has a wicked memory. He remembers things about my kids that I've long forgotten. The best.

Dr. Sumida is the best! He answers to all our concerns/questions and is always patience with us and the kids. Whenever he thinks there's a concern, he takes no chance. He would have your kids do a thorough check up or refer you to a specialist. The 3-month ahead appointment doesn't really bother me. You can just make your appointment after your current visit or call back. It's not as bad as it sounds.Even after we moved out of island, he called and asked about the kids. We love him! We just wish we could take him with us!Look no further! Your kid is in good hands with Dr. Sumida!

Dr. Sumida and the staff at Children's Medical Associates are THE BEST! When my son is sick they it's not a problem getting him seen the same day. Dr. Sumida is personable and really spends time with us, answering any questions we may have. We even bumped into him at the mall and he remembers us regardless of the amount of patients he has.

The best. From checking on our newborn in the hospital before 5AM to all those checkups and ailments in your first 5 years he has been nothing short of fabulous. Always happy, high energy, great bedside manner with both kids and parents....we are so happy we found him. He's also part of a practice of other great doctors which means when he's not there we are still in good hands. We are so lucky to have him! Amazing follow up every time.

All 3 of my kids have been going to Dr. Sumida since birth, with the oldest one turning 17 this year. Dr. Sumida has been the best Pediatrician we could ask for. His popularity and following is immense......which results in having to make physician appointments 3 months in advance (which is the only negative.Since he belongs to practice, there's always a back-up in place in case of an emergency. They also are open on Sunday mornings for those urgent appointments you need at times. The practice also converted to the EPIC electronic patient record which is AWESOME.Not sure if he's accepting new patients but if we had to do it all over again, no doubt in my mind we would go with Dr. Sumida!

Look no further. Dr. Sumida is the best pediatrician for your children. When my daughter gets sick, he personally calls me to give me lab results or to check on her. I don't know very many doctors that do that. When my girls get sick, they ask for him by name. He has the best bed side manner! My husband loves him...he has a way of making you feel comfortable. He's very approachable and will answer all your questions.
