I regret changing my medical needs to Empower Health. I'm only staying because my PCP is wonderful. But the clinic staff is a bunch of morons. I received a letter in May regarding my upcoming appointment in August. I had questions regarding the letter so I called and spoke to a real person and gave a detail reason for my call. I was told someone would call me. No one did. I called the second time, same message, and was told someone would call me. No one did. Called third time, repeated same message to person, same everything. No one did. Finally, the fourth time I called, I angrily left a message to have someone call me. When I was asked the reason for my call, I told her I already left three messages. Then in July I received a letter from Queens Access Center giving me a phone number to call if I had any concerns...and it was the same phone number I had called four times. Duhhh!!! what a bunch of morons!!
The doctors here are good but I did have a weird experience with one of the assistants. They had to ask me medical history and said "this is as uncomfortable for me as it is for you," which definitely made the experience uncomfortable from there and is a sign they probably shouldn't be talking to patients. The billing office seems totally incapable as they will hold off on billing for any appointments for over a year then send the entire 15 months worth of appointments across all doctors here at once with a due date of one month. Even with financial assistance it seems more responsible to bill in a reasonable amount of time from the appointment date. Their excuse was it was due to the "No Surprise Billing Act" so beware of large unexpected bills.
DR NATAVIO DIDNT CARE THAT IVE BEEN SICK 2 DIFFERENT TIMES AND HER “TEAM” DOESNT CARE THAT I NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND ALLEGEDLY ACCORDING TO DR NATAVIO DIDNT SEND HER MY MESSAGES. IM STILL SICK. THEY ARE NOW GIVING ME A HARD TIME ABOUT SENDING MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO MY NEW DOCTOR. THEY JUST DO NOT CARE. HOW ABOUT YOU DO YOUR JOB? THIS IS ABOUT MY BABY NOT JUST ME! THEY ALSO ENJOY PREVENTING ME FROM CALLING MY NEW DOCTOR BY HOLDING UP PHONE LINES AND MAKING IT SO I CAN’T. WHAT IS THIS, PRANK WARS? GROW UP
Good, friendly, professional.
The urgent care staff was awesome! Everyone was very friendly, professional and efficient. This is a great alternative if your doctor is on vacation or you just need service right away. Very easy to find and the parking is free.
I just went for a required Covid-19 test before an upcoming procedure I'm scheduled for. I person that administered the test was very professional and prompt for my appointment.
Unfortunately another clinic that fails at personal quality care. How is it I have better service when I go to an urgent care? There is no point having a doctor who is too busy to see you. I'm not sure if their phones are broken but so far I haven't been able to get through for 2 weeks now. I usually have to physically go down to the clinic if I have a question or make appointment. Of course the robots say they will call you back later on...when they have time. I also have a job so that's why I'm calling at the time I'm calling. 😮💨
Great healt care providers!
Depends where you are going & who you are seeing. Regular clinic doctors were ok! It takes just one bad experience and that was the URGENT clinic doctor only!
My mom recommended Empower to me. She really liked her doctor, Dez Tricacaro, so she told me. I was having bad experiences with Waianae Comp so I switched. WOW! This place is great! I never wait long, Dr Dez IS great! I also see Nicole Aurellano who is fabulous and they do a spectacular job at their Urgent Care! I had a ruse named Gimmelette. She was a doll and absolutely great!!! FIVE STARS YA'LL!!! Keep up the good work!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
