Dr Ireland has been my nephrologist since 2004. He has seen me through 17 years since my kidney transplant. He literally saved my life. The best!

Dr. Ireland has been my PCP for the last few years. He's very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He always shows concern for my health will often chat with me about my job and other stuff, so I can tell he really cares about getting to know his patients. His office staff is all so nice too and will always greet me and take care of my prescriptions or upcoming appointments without a hitch!

My grandmother has been seeing Dr Ireland but of the many visits she has hardly seen him. It is always the APRN who my grandma sees. The times that she would see Dr Ireland he would be with her for less than 5 minutes. I understand that you try to do a lot of work for the community but your first responsibility is to your patients.

I’m experiencing the same problem as MSK . Each time I go it’s a different doctor with differing opinions.

Personally, I like Dr. Ireland. But based on my experience, his Ewa Beach office is staffed by mechanical, insensitive, robotic-like people who can be extremely nice but also extremely cold and rude. Dr. Ireland is hardly around to see his patients. It’s okay if he’s out doing work for the government or politics or community work. That’s noble of him. But his duty is to be there 100% for his patients. My biggest concern is the lack of continuity of care. There are many providers in his office, and patients don’t get to see the same doctor. Each time I go there for a visit, it’s always a different doctor, and sometimes they give conflicting opinions about the plan of care or the effects of medications. I really would like to talk to Dr Ireland in person to voice my grievances, my opinion about how his staff occasionally violate some of my rights as a patient. I hope this gets his attention. I can give him details of my experience.

Liked the fact that someone could explain to me in detail about my condition. Also because he was previously at the Mayo Clinic I had access to their doctors as well as a referral.
