From our first meeting, his warm, empathetic, knowledgeable, and confident attitude immediately put me at ease during my challenging time. Thanks to his exceptional surgical expertise, my complex hip and pelvis surgery went smoothly, and his attentive follow-up care made a significant difference in my recovery. I felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Bellino’s kindness, dedication, and exemplary care!

I would like to say Thank You to Dr Bellino for the excellent care I received after falling and basically breaking my elbow while on vacation on the Big Island. Dr Darrin K. called him on his evening off (luckily he was doing a rotation on the Big Island) and he agreed to come in and perform the surgery. Thanks to him and the entire operating room team I am recovering nicely back now.

I endured severe pain for over a decade, especially when sitting and driving, but Dr. Bellino, with only a brief description of my symptoms, was able to pinpoint exactly where and when I experienced pain. He is a true professional, deeply passionate about his work, and his methodical approach delivers excellent results. During pre-surgery testing and physical therapy, I received numerous positive peer reviews echoing the same high praise. I’m excited about healing and getting my right hip surgery so I can finally sit and drive without pain. Thank you, Dr. Bellino—you’re incredible!

20 years out from surgery 20 years ago, I was run over by a van going 45 mph while walking to work, resulting in a major pelvic fracture. Dr. Bellino surgically reconstructed my pelvis in a very difficult operation (9 out of 10 by his own rating). Thanks to his skill and some judicious lifestyle choices, I've avoided a total hip replacement, which, at the time was considered 'a matter of when, not if it was to be done.

The best PAO surgeon there is I had surgery on my right hip by someone else and it did not go well, so I asked around for who was the best to do my left and everyone said Dr. Bellino. They were 100% right. The hip he operated on is as good as new and has no lingering nerve or muscle issues. Every day is a constant comparison between my two hips and my only regret is that I can't go back in time and have him do the right hip too.

GREAT doctor from another medical provider I am also a medical provider who got a recommendation from another MD who didn't know him to take care of my husband. I don't know ortho, but his bedside manner is excellent, he explained everything, very patient, and seems to truly care. Bonus. he has excellent experience and I'm very impressed with his background. Hawaii is lucky to have gotten him.

The Best I broke my hip skateboarding. Bad injury. Dr. Bellino and his team made a difference to the good in the quality of my life. Total recovery. Great result going on 17 years post-opp. Can't thank him enough. His work is outstanding.

Performed my total right hip replacement. First doctor to effectively explain my x-ray and condition. Surgery and recovery flawless. He was one of few surgeons to be able to do an anterior replacement that you can hardly see on my body.

After waiting 2 hours to meet with Dr. Bellino, 4 people entered my room and shook my hand. No one said their name, no one introduced themselves. I guessed who Bellino was because he was the only one without a clipboard taking notes. He asked me why I was there, to describe my pain, and the then showed me my MRI telling me all the things he could do to treat my hip if my condition wasn't as bad as it is. He told me I was stoic and that I would endure the pain for too long. He told me I've probably researched my condition a great deal. Regardless if I have researched anything or not, he did not take the time to explain to me any details, used scare tactics of showing me other x-rays of people who have waited too long to have a surgery, and overall treated me like I was a fool who didn't know anything, but that I should also already understand everything he is saying. It was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had with a doctor, and regardless of if he is a good surgeon or not, I am terrified by the fact that he is training other surgeons. I am doing everything I can to ensure my quality of life and will indeed have a surgery when necessary, but he will never be the one to do it. Bellino should re-think how he talks to other people, not be so defensive, short, and cold.
