As a patient of Dr. Akolea Ioane, I found her to be unfriendly, rarely smiled, always seemed in a rush during our office visits, not warm and personable, and quite frankly this doctor is just plain rude. I had a sudden urgent medical situation come up for me in which I was bitten by a centipede on my ankle, which caused my ankle to be painful, red, and very swollen. I called the office and was fitted into Dr. Ioane’s schedule for the day. I later sent this doctor a friendly email thanking her for fitting me in at the last moment, however, I was later surprised by a rude email reply from this doctor telling me that by fitting me into her busy schedule I had set her behind in her schedule for her other patients. How rude and unprofessional! You never tell this to a patient! Unforeseen medical situations come up, and I would have hoped that this doctor would have been more understanding, but she was not. For this reason, I would not recommend Dr. Akolea Ioane as a doctor.
