If I could give Dr. Cheung 10 stars I would!! I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor five years ago & upon doing my diligent homework by visiting multiple Dr.’s, I chose Dr. Cheung above all others not only because I researched his outstanding reputation and legacy as best surgeon with decades of experience behind him, but also because of his kind, understanding and caring demeanor. I later learned that he held the title as Chief Medical Officer and all the other Dr.s I had compared him to - had all been trained under him! So I knew then I found the best of the best! Not all these things I say because of a 1 time experience with Dr. Cheung, but because cancer revisited me, I was able to hold my head high knowing I knew would feel That same caring attention, quality time and warmth from both Dr. Cheung and his staff as we arranged yet another surgery together. What more can I say when my story ends with this special Dr. ...as saving my life!! Mrs. Azar

Dr. Cheung made the right decision in not giving me more pain medication than I thought I needed. Those Oxy's are wierd and made me feel creepy. Thank you Mr. Cheung for not giving me more poison.

I'm in severe pain after double hernia surgery and Mr. Cheung gave me only enough pain medication for 4 days. I asked him for a refill and he said, I'm sorry but that's all I can do for you. He's treating me like I'm a drug addict in search of my next fix.

Severe post surgery pain and Mr.Cheung gave me only a four day supply of pain medication. I called and asked for a refill due and he told me sorry but I can't help you. He's treating me like I'm a drug addict in search of my next fix. My family jewels are as big as a baseball and he tells me not to worry. What kind of doctor is this ???

Would not recommend, staff is cold and has no compassion for your feeling and pain level. No hello how are you today or hope you feel better when you leave they just sit behind the desk and ignore you. Dr. lacks compassion and bedside manners

Dr. Cheung and his staff provided the best medical experience I've had in Hawaii since moving here over 20 years ago. I don't know how it's possible the other people that rated him and his staff was anything less than excellent.

After meeting with Dr. Cheung, blood work was ordered. Neither he nor his staff ever called to discuss the lab results. I should note that my primary care physician never called either.My overall impression of Dr. Cheung was that he was unwilling to acknowledge he lacked specialty skills in a particular area of medicine and was unwilling to bring others into the picture to problem solve or offer advice.Very disappointed in overall care.
