Terrible experience. I had Dr. Tamashiro until I was 18. I remember asking her if I could get my semi annual STD & HIV testing done. Dr. Tamashiro asked me “Are you serious? Again?” The fact that I wanted to be responsible and my doctor shamed me was absolutely absurd. Doctors advise us to be honest so that we can get treated properly, then decide to shame us, unacceptable.

Dr. Amy has been our pediatrician for both our daughters and she has an outstanding and professional bedside manner. We always refer her name to our friends and family when looking for a pediatrician!

Both of our boys go to Dr. Amy Tamashiro and we just love how caring and down to earth she is. She is really easy to talk to and always explains everything in detail and answers all our questions. Whenever our children get sick, we are able to get an appointment right away, the staff there are very friendly and accommodating. And if she's not in on that day, there are other doctors in the office that we can see. I also like the fact that she is open on Saturdays! Definitely a plus for us since it's a little harder to get off of work for check ups on the weekday. I'd recommend her to others for sure!

Dr. Amy is the best doctor I have ever had. I've seen her since I was born and I'm now 21 yrs old and I still go to her. I'm dreading the day I have to leave. She is always very kind and takes the time to get to know you. All my visits never ever feel rushed. When I have kids I will definitely bring my children to her

I've felt comfortable with Dr. Tamashiro in the two years that she's been my pediatrician. She shows interest in me personally and informs me of health concerns for teenagers. Her staff is also cheerful and efficient.

Both of my children see her. She is very good about explaining things in detail. With a few of my sons drs I need to poke and prod before I get anything but vague. With dr Amy she goes through possible scenarios, explains reasons for tests, labs and covers all bases. I'm so glad our boys made the switch over to her.

Dr. Amy Tamashiro is one of the most caring pediatricians on island. Every time I bring my sick nephew or niece, the service from her and the staff is amazing. They always kind to answer all our questions, and when needed, they squeeze them into their busy schedule. Another great thing about this office, is if your pediatrician isn't in that day or yet, you can talk to or see one of the other 3 pediatricians. All are very nice and nurturing to the children. Thank you for caring for my baby niece and nephew dr. Amy!

Dr. Amy has seen my boys, ages 17, 7, and 5,for 13 years. She is an awesome diagnostician and was spot-on diagnosing one of my sons with a special needs problem early. This allowed intervention with his special need and he easily mainstreamed into public school.
