Dr. Bo-Yin Deborah Chang is a completely rude physician with absolutely no bedside manner.This physician was assigned to my mom while in hospital at Queens Punchbowl hospital to control her pain level for her surgeon.On day 2 of recovery, I noticed my mom’s lunch receipt had many restrictions and I kindly requested the nurse to have Dr. Chang come speak to us about it. She came in here very crude, unwilling to listen to anything that either of us said. Wanting to add more medication because moms BP was a little elevated coming off of surgery due to her anxiety. She wouldn’t even entertain a dietary restrictions lift because mom does very well with controlling what she eats as is. She has her currently on every restriction in the book therefore allowing her very slim pickings as to what she can eat. Mom is completely unhappy and if her pain was more controlled then I would have signed her out AMA but since it isn’t it is in her best interest we requested to see someone else take over her care while in here to get my mom back in shape pain wise and on track as she was before coming in here.To end our stay, she ended up trying to come in to the room one more time to make it seem like she was checking on my mom even though we had requested changes already and she discharged my mom and when the nurse brought in her medicine we took it out of the delivery bag and she ended up giving my mom 3 tablets of pain medicine. We asked the nurse to call her and Dr. Chang tried to say we only asked for meds for the night of discharge which made absolute no sense! 3 days later and my mom has no medication as her surgeons are off island doing surgery and had Dr. Chang properly discharged her with the right amount of medication we wouldn’t be looking for an after hours care or ER to assist.
