List of Cataract And Vision Center Of Hawaii's Reviews
I recently had cataract surgery. Dr. Lee and his staff are very professional, pleasant, clear, and concise. Angelina was very helpful in setting up the appointment and answering any questions about the procedure.
I found the staff to be not only friendly but very professional in their patient care. Dr. Daniel Choi was exceptional as I left the office feeling very positive about the cataract surgery and followup care. He took time to explain the options and answer any questions I might have had with a great bedside manner. Would highly recommend Dr. Choi to anyone in need of vision or cataract surgery.
Dr. Daniel Choi came highly recommended by several people in addition to my personal eye doctor. Needless to say this referral was spot on. Dr. Choi and his staff provided me with professional care with a great bedside manner. It's easy to understand why he is being referred to. He took time to explain my options and then made sure that I had the best possible outcome. I would Absolutely highly recommend Dr. Daniel Choi to anyone needing cataract surgery.
Dr. Sugino and Dr. Choi are wonderful, and the front desk staff are all helpful and friendly as well. Parking can be a bit tight but never had a problem finding a stall. You do have to pay for parking though, so I try to keep small bills and change ready.
Procedure: Cross-linking for both eyes Point of contact: Juan Zapata Summary: business FIRST, customers always after!!! My message over the email to Juan after 1.5 months from my first office visit and scheduled cross-linking on August 15: """ HI Juan, So, let me put it straight where I provide the facts to summarize what we got: 1. After I came to the office and when I had the 2nd conversion with you I was told that it's 50% firm, but now it's 100%. I can't believe that policy changed that fast and I assume this is the way how you treat your customers, where business is first for you, not the customers! 2. When I came to the office and provided my insurance, I was told you gonna pull info and contact me during 2 weeks period. After 1 month I (yes, me!) contacted you as nothing was clarified. Only after this you started taking some actions. Fact: no care about customers and no way the word was hold again! 3. After when we finally clarified on the amount with insurance provider with 10% and 30% co-pay correspondingly, I still have the estimate! This is the first time I see such the tough processing even considering that I worked with dozens of clinics in the US that provided unbelievable customer care and support! What can happen: you may provide to insurance bigger amount that can increase my co-pay as it's based on percentage. Fact: this is where business on the first place and not customers and this is after 1.5 month after my first office visit!!! 4. My remaining out-of-pocket maximum is $2200 right now and you ask me to pay approximately around $1600 per eye. It means that after 2nd procedure I will hit limit and will be struggling the same tough process, but with reimbursements. I don't wanna this to happen considering that it took 1.5 month of highly tough discussions where your business struggles a lot to clarify details with insurance companies and can't provide the exact prices after all! I'm sorry, but this is insane!!! I'm pretty sure I gonna have a lot of headache around it. (I'd better invest those money instead of holding them by your business :) ) 5. Each time you push me to sign the paper and send to you asap even when we have open questions! Again, this is where BUSINESS FIRST and customer after!!! Summary: I'm sorry, I'd love to proceed with Dr. Choi for both eyes and I need that now, but I can't be trusted by your business considering all these facts!!! Please, don't provide me with excuses, personally I could never do that for customers when my business wasn't able to handle things right especially when the word wasn't hold multiple times!!! With best wishes, Yevhenii """

Aside from the broken elevator, I feel like the staff at Cataract And Vision Center are genuinely kind and caring. Dr. Choi is kind and caring and I don't feel rushed. I received a refund check but I don't know what is for.
Five Stars. Everything I expected from a state of the art healthcare facility and more. Thank you, Aloha
So far so good. Only completed my right eye and awaiting scheduled surgery for the left one. Very efficient process from scheduling appointments, surgery and follow-up visits. Happy with the result of my right eye surgery and hope all goes well with the upcoming left eye surgery too.
All the staff were excellent and friendly. Doctor Lee was personable and helped me understand my exam. I would highly recommend them!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
