Dr k: The finest surgeon around. He’s smart, amazingly talented, empathetic, and you know from the first review of images he’s got your back. I just can say enough, I praise him and he’s saved my quality of life. Foot surgery is never fun and comes with a lot of pain and hard work. His staff is stellar, courteous, and professional. If you do your part like he does his, your results are amazing. He’s given me my life back!

I've spent years searching for the ideal Orthopedic surgeon to perform reconstructive surgery on my Charcot Foot - if ever my condition improved to the point that I was a qualified candidate for the surgery. I'm 58 years old and having had a Charcot deformaty for six years, required the use of a crow boot in order to walk and minimize pain & fatigue. I'd been hoping & praying for my Grey's Anatomy moment with a miracle surgery, titanium screws & insert plates - for so long now. Late last year my foot ulcered resulting in a a severe infection and the time had come to prepare myself for a BKA consult. I remembered being impressed with the credentials of a particular surgeon and as fate would have it, he had returned to Hawaii to set up practice. I requested that my PCP change my referal to Dr. Christian K. Kikuchi, MD at Orthopedic Associates of Hawaii. Under his care we found that the ulcer could heal slowly, most of the bones in my foot were intact, and that reconstructive surgery was possible. When Dr. Kikuchi offered to perform the surgery - my prayers had finally been answered. He then prepared me for a lengthy, complex surgery & recovery. I'm completely impressed with his professionalism and attentive care that I received from him and every member of his team. Comfort was a priority and I was treated like I was a member of thier ohana. Flawless care & communication throughout the entire process. The operation was successful and if all goes well, I'll have the mobility to walk on my own two feet once again. You'll be so fortunate to be in the most qualified and incredibly capable hands of Dr. Christian K. Kikuchi, MD - God bless him!

This was my first visit to Dr. Kikuchi. The procedure for check in was very simple. I was able to fill out medical history information on line which made it easy to check in. An xray was required, and that was quickly done in an x ray lab adjacent to his office. Aloha, I am shocked at the 1-3 star reviews that I have seen on here and the horrible comments these people have made... I never experience any of those ever visiting him. His whole team is so kind!!! I have to write a review of how amazing not only Dr is, But his whole STAFF!!! I had gotten miss diagnosed by doctors here in Kona and up in Waimea, Hawaii for over a year. The facility here in Kona I will not say whom or where but they would not listen to me a all! ( not related to DR.) I am so thankful I spoke up and asked for a second opinion, took me 9months for the Docs here in Kona to listen to me and to send me to Oahu to get seen by Dr. Chrsitian K Kikuchi. I got sent to him in June of this year and he FOUND what I knew that I had. The first APT I had with him, I cried because he found what I knew that I had for so long and I knew I was not going crazy. He was very thorough, with details and he cared, he found out that I had a " stress fracture in my cuboid bone in my right foot and after putting my foot in a boot for 6 weeks (nonweight bearing ) and with a follow-up, we found out it needed to have surgery. Before & After surgery, they gave amazing details, I got to meet some of the Doctors who were helping with the surgery and there was someone by my side when I woke up. I had never felt so safe, & comfortable as I did here. Dr.K's office is amazing with communication, they respond to calls, and Emails in a timely manner. ( not months later..) I have never had any issues with Scheduling Appointments, never been rushed, THis facility treats you with the utmost ALOHA!!!! IF I could give them 10 STARS I WOULD. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.Kikuchi !!!!!
