Dr Tamura has been my oncologist for the last 4-5 years. Hard to find a doc who really puts your welfare first. He's a steady hand on the rudder. Good doc. Exceptional medicine. And star-quality care. I've been really blessed to have him and Hawaii Cancer Care in my life.

My husband was diagnosed with lymphoma recently and we were obviously incredibly scared. We were blessed to find Dr. Tamura. He has a great personality that instantly made us feel more comfortable. He clearly and compassionately explained the disease and treatment and went out of his way to get us an appointment for scans the very next day. Being diagnosed with something like this is terrifying and I can't express enough how important it is to find a doctor that you trust and feel comfortable with. We are immensely grateful to Dr. Tamura and strongly recommend him.

In my experience with Dr. Tamura's office is not the best. Dr. Tamura is a great doctor but his staff (dental assistant) was quiet rude. When i was getting my teeth extracted, she was the one carrying the vacuum to clean up the blood...when Doctor told her to get something in the process of my teeth extraction, she placed the vacuum (THAT WAS STILL RUNNING) over my chest instead of placing it nicely on the side where the holder is. Also, she was really rough and felt annoyed just by the sound of her voice when we were doing x-rays and her placing a piece of paper/ plastic in my mouth. She scolded me because i didn't bit properly....... I wish i remembered her name, but she was just straight up rude.
