Derek Ching Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Derek Ching, associates and staff are THE BEST! They've been caring for our 3 kiddos for almost 10 years now. Our kids are mostly healthy so appointments are usually annual check ups with the exception of some minor illnesses. Whether by in person visits or phone calls, they address our concerns, answer our questions, and educate us about options. They're quick to respond and interactions are always caring and compassionate. We're so grateful to have Dr. Derek as our kids' pediatrician! There's no one else we could trust fully with our most precious kiddos.

Dr. Derek Ching and the entire staff at Children’s Doctors have been a blessing to me, my wife, and our son. Dr. Ching is a happy/positive person, very knowledgeable, kind-hearted, and helps keep my wife and I at ease about any troubles/concerns we have about our now 8-month old son. He takes the time to answer all of our questions, never makes us feel rushed, and our son loves him! He treats us like family, and we feel so fortunate to have him as our pediatrician. He came highly recommended by our OBGYN and friends, and we can see why! I myself have recommended many friends and family to him and they all agree. Dr. Ching is amazing!!! His advice has been so helpful (and spot on) and has basically held our hand through this scary/exciting time for our first child. He puts us at ease with every visit by not only telling us how our son is doing, but also what we can expect in the near future. Dr. Ching is easily reached, very approachable, and never makes us feel like we are asking a dumb question. His staff is friendly and always makes sure to handle our son with a professional touch. His office is very conveniently located and has a warm atmosphere. This helps my son stay calm and helps us parents feel at ease. Thank you so much Dr. Ching and all of the staff at Children’s Doctors! We love you!!!

ZERO star!!!!!! Not professional!!! He scratched my son’s ear when he tried to remove earwax. I realized his ear was bleeding after we got home. I was frightened because I couldn’t stop the bleeding from his ear. We went back to the office, but they didn’t take seriously. No apologize !!!

He supposed to refer us to a specialist! Why not ? Money ? ? ?

Dr. Derek came highly recommended from family, my OB, our PCP and so many people. I set up an appointment to interview him (I didn't know you had to interview pediatricians). He was very thorough and informative. He made me feel confident that he was perfect for our daughter. When she was born he came to the hospital to check her out. From there we called to make appointments for her check ups and have been able to get convenient appointments. He is kind and caring and we're very happy we chose him to care for our child.

Dr. Ching was the pediatrician for my first two children before we moved to the mainland. He was there to greet my newborns in the hospital either that same day or the very next day. He is very knowledgeable and caring. His office staff has always been friendly and helpful. I could get sound advice when issues arose with my kids by just calling into the office. They would give me things to do at home and help me decide wether or not I actually had to bring my child in. One thing that gave me comfort was when I called in wondering if they were able to see my child on the day of my call and they said, “we always have room for sick children.” Great doctor, great office, and Dr. Tawni is great as well!
