I would not recommend Dr. Puapong to anyone. He was overconfident the minute I walked in the room. Due to insurance reasons, he was my only option for a surgeon. He couldn't explain to me the reason for things and told me my recovery time would be short. It was not. And it was painful. I regret having surgery by him. And when returning to say that the pain was still worse than before surgery, he had nothing to say. Very invasive surgery and no physical therapy, no after care, nothing. Another disappointment within the Hawaii Healthcare System.

Dr Puapong has saved our baby's life! He was able to quickly and efficiently diagnose our child with a rare anatomical condition and operate to full healing. He was timely and thorough, and always available for us amongst jis busy schedule.

The staff was very welcoming. Made you feel relaxed. Dr. P was very helpful with my concerns and took good care of my son. Even when he was rushing to a meeting, he stopped in the room to see how my sons wound was progessing, appologized for a short visit and continued on to his meeting. I appreciatedthat a lot.

He is very good at his job! Which is everything especially with doing surgery on my son. It was a really big surgery and my son who was 12 years old at the time felt confident in Dr. Puapong which helped him to be less fearful of his surgery. Surgery went even better than expected and my sons level of pain was very minimal considering his surgery. Dr. Puapong is amazing and so is his team and colleagues!
