Dr. Mckinlay's Online Review Report Card

Dr. McKinlay's office returned my call on Monday 7/25 to schedule an appointment, they managed to schedule an appointment for the following Monday 8/1, which is quick and appreciated. During my appointment, Dr. McKinlay was quick and gave a full explanation of my concern. He also explained the closure on a business day, which I understand. He prescribed an ointment for me to use in a week to help with my eczema, I'll update you guys in a week to see if it worked. I appreciate their quick availability and their return call!

I selected this business due to a recommendation from my doctor, I wanted someone who was available on Saturdays. I walked to the office during their normal business hours since my doctor is next door, the door was locked, I knocked and no one answered. I called and left a voicemail to schedule and appointment, for two days no return call. It is my opinion that this is a poor business practice to not return calls to potential future clients, especially when two days has passed and during their normal business hours. I will be requesting a different dermatologist from my doctor.

Efficient at his job, knowledgeable and always willing to fit me in his busy schedule. I truly appreciate and love this doctor. He is a busy guy so yes he may not always have time to chat for too long but I don't go there for conversations, I want better and clearer skin and he delivers! Receptionists are always friendly and also efficient at their job. Highly recommended!

Dr. Mckinlay has for years (and I mean more than half my life, even while I went to college in CA) been helping me with the many stages of teenage breakouts to adult hormonal acne prone skin. My skin has always been my personal struggle, that I felt I had very little control over (hello genetics and biology) but Dr. Mckinlay has always tried new strategies, combinations and different prescriptions/topicals, weighing options and paths, to see what my skin reacted best to- showing we can change it! He knows the newest treatments, has always really heard my (and often my mothers haha) concerns and has literally taken ownership in the condition of my skin- he says, "WE can do better." And WE have! I have referred friends and family, and will continue to do so- Thank you, Dr. for going above and beyond, going out of your way and caring for us over the many years (we feel like we've grown up with him)- and always doing whats best for my skin!!

Dr. McKinlay has been our family dermatologist for over a decade. His bedside manner is excellent with us and our children. He's extremely knowledgeable and explains in detail our individual conditions and all options for treatment. He listens and makes you feel like you're not just a patient, but a person. I have recommended him to several families over the years and everyone has been happy with the care they have received!

....his "bedside' manner needs improvement. My first and last consult was less than impressive. There could be a chance you would like but for me first impressions still count. There just wasnt a genuine feel and more annoyingly no warning regarding the steps that were going to happen during the visit.

Excellent dermatologist

Set up an appointment for my daughter 2 weeks ago and informed of what insurance we had. Got a call 2 hours before the appointment today and they said they had dropped that insurance. I had previously been seen last year and one of my other children had been seen there as well. The doctor is great but their office communication is obviously not.
