Dr. Chung called and apologized, there was a lot going on that day, it was his birthday. He explained some things to me, I'm happy with the outcome of the phone call, so changing my review.

Outstanding customer service and results from front desk (Esther, Kailani) through exams (Lily) to Dr Chang and successful cataract and “glaucoma” surgery on both eyes. Now 20/20! Every detail was explained with great care and every interaction was super courteous and professional!

Dr.Chang and his office are amazing. I feel like I received the best care from the entire clinic. When it was Tim for surgery, I was greatful Dr.Chang was my surgeon and the surgical staff was the best! My son is visiting Hawaii and him and his friend were attacked by several guys in the street next to the beach in Waikiki. He suffered facial trauma particularly his eye from being punched and kicked in the face.We were terribly worried about his vision. Dr. Chang was professional, thorough, personable, kind and provided him with the best care I could ask for. I am so grateful that he was referred to Dr. Chang by Queens Hospital ER and that he was accommodated into their schedule right away. I would like to give the highest recommendation to Eye Doctors Hawaii and their staff. From my first appointment, I felt like I was family and not just another patient. Nin, Kailani, Esther at the reception desk was exceptional. They recognized me by name, answered all of my questions, called to remind me of my appointments. Always smiled and welcomed me every time. Linda was so friendly, despite my nervousness, she always took the time to explain the process. Her bubbly personality reduced my anxiety of having surgery and felt like it was going to be a painless but simple procedure. Junice was amazing, she was very thorough with the information about the process, cost and options of what our family could do. She even gave my wife cookies that she personally cooked as a token of appreciation for our business. Who does that? People who see you as family! Dr. Kenneth Chang is awesome, he noticed that i was from the North Shore and we had a conversation about his family owning a property in Punalu'u. I also discovered that he graduated from Punahou where four of my children attended. Once again, his friendliness and genuine concern made me feel comfortable about the surgery and confident that my well being was at the forefront and not my business. When I found out that I need cataract surgery, I told my doctor that I want the best, I don't care how far it is, I want the best. She told me that Dr. Chang's office is in Hawaii Kai. For the record, I live in Lai'e, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there, it was the best decision I made, Dr. Kenneth Chang and his staff are exceptional. The staff here were very friendly, and the doctor was able to give me a diagnosis on my first visit. I've gone to multiple optometrist who did not have a clue as to what was going on with my eyes. This doctor accepts Tricare referrals so bonus for military members. Will definitely be back for future eye care.

Upon Moving to Hawaii I was looking for a new doctor to follow my Glaucoma and came across Eye Doctors Hawaii. I have been going to Dr. Chang for about 6 years now and I love the Staff and Dr! So much that my wife also started to go there for general eye care. Great location in Hawaii Kai Great Practice!!
