I was recently referred to Eyesight Hawaii by my previous eye doctor who was retiring. I can only say that I was pleasantly pleased by my first visit with Dr. Olkowski and his friendly and professional staff. Since then I’ve had two other visits and was very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend Eyesight Hawaii to my family and friends…they really care about their patients!

Dr. Olkowski and the Eyesight Hawaii team members are terrific! During this last year I had a sudden and scary vision problem that required prompt attention. I was very worried about my eyesight and I was scheduled to ride my bike across Iowa over the next 2 weeks. Dr. Olkowski provided a quick diagnosis and a referral to a retina specialist the next day! With the quick diagnosis and support I was able to complete my ride and feel confident that my eyesight issue would be successfully resolved. Mahalo!!

I have experienced excellent corneal surgeries and treatment from Dr. John Olkowski and Dr. Kristin Hirabayashi. I highly recommend EyeSight Hawaii to anyone with corneal deficiencies.

I am a patient from Big Island. I just wanna share my experience with Eyesight Hawaii. From front office staff, 5 stars to them because they have so much aloha. To the medical staff, 5 stars to them too because they what they call it a “therapeutic communication.” For Dr John Olkowski, if I can give 6 star I will because he is knowledgeable/ expert to what he does. I did PRK procedure on my eyes 7 weeks ago and the outcome is amazing! I am NOT wearing glassess anymore and I really appreciate the outcome of the procedure from eyesight hawaii. More power to Dr Olkowski and the staff. God bless and I hope people will find u guys and you can help them too.

Dr. K. Hirabayasi is a pleasure to work with. Dr. Hirabyashi is patient; explains everything in clear, concise details. She answers all questions and sets your mind at ease in preparation for surgery and post surgery care. All staff in the main office and surgery are extremely pleasant and professional. It is my observation that Dr. Hirabyashi and all those involved are truly dedicated to the care of their patients. Mahalo Nui loa. Ke Akua Pu.

Dr Olkowski is the one you want if you have to do any eye surgery. I was so afraid the day of surgery so he explained exactly what he was going to do and it calmed me down. He is a wonderful doctor and has a wonderful friendly and helpful staff. I have been coming to Eyesight Hawaii for years now and Dr O has always been a kind and gentle doctor. Very easy to talk to and he explains everything and answers all your questions. I will always be an Eyesight Hawaii patient.

I’ve heard very good things about Dr Olkowski for twenty years. When I needed an ophthalmologist, I went to him, and now I’ve seen him several times. He is very knowledgeable, and he combines that with a caring, kind personality. I would recommend him highly if you are seeking an ophthalmologist. The clinic is pleasant, and all the staff are professional.
