Dr. Kim is so thorough and knowledgeable. I will be having my mom fly up to see her as well. They did so many test and seem to have the best technology to really do a full eye exam. I am so glad I was referred here and now will share it will anyone I know. The office is also beautiful and assist staff are so kind and helpful.

I was legally blind in my best eye for over a week due to corneal edema, which after a month has not fully resolved But has greatly improved. I trust that I will return to 2020 vision in that eye eventually.

I had cataract surgeries on both eyes and am truly amazed at the care and attention given to me before, during surgery, and after. Dr Gregory Schmidt explained everything in detail and after surgery, you are given a prescription for various eye drops to include a 35 day schedule of taking the meds, how often, amount of times/day, etc. It changes as time goes on. This schedule keeps you on schedule to ensure you don't mess up. It also gives instructions about washing your eyes, swimming, bending, etc. Things you might not really think about. Dr Schmidt and his entire staff (reception, assistants) are always cordial, personable, and efficient. Kudos to Dr Schmidt and the Hawaii Eye Institute.

I see Dr. Schmidt in this office in the Queens Doctor Building. He is really awesome. I get my annual eye checkups and he is great, but this year, I needed cataract surgery. Any surgery on your eyes sounds scary, but he's so professional, he puts you at ease, and it all went so smooth, with great results. I absolutely recommend him and his great staff. I also recommend all the people at the Hawaii Eye Institute. My vision has never been better. The instructions for surgery were very clear, as were post-op instructions and care. Highly recommend.
