I got to the Hawaii Kai Clinic at 4:59 pm on a Friday because traffic was so bad, and I ran to the clinic hoping to get my medication on time because I knew I was running out on Saturday. There was a lady standing right inside the automatic doors refusing to let me in. I could clearly see the pharmacy doors closed so the whole clinic was obviously closed down way before their stated 5:00 pm closing time. She was wearing a Santa hat but obviously had no holiday spirit. Maybe if she was friendly and in the process of closing up it wouldn’t have been bad but I could clearly tell she’d been at that door, probably rudely turning people away for a while. Terrible customer service, but that seems to be what you get with kaiser. Always closing early.

Physician here failed to diagnose my husband's serious health condition. Same physician failed to take his concerns seriously and failed to support his need for FMLA leave to address the issue. Inaccurate comments in the records then led to subpar care by specialists at Moanalua, each of whom passed him off. We moved to the continental US in 2017 and when we arrived here, the Kaiser NW doctors immediately diagnosed his condition, in time to save the foot but my husband is now permanently disabled. Early diagnosis and treatment, along with more compassionate care, could have prevented this. This caused our family enormous distress, hassle and expense. We were loyal patrons of Kaiser HI for 25 years but we left Hawaii, and Kaiser Hawaii, in distress, with lasting implications. Shame on the doctors at Kaiser Hawaii Kai clinic for their utter lack of professionalism and failure to apply standard of care.
