Great Doctor..always does the extra mile! Staff, very courteous!
Office is very clean, staff is friendly and Dr. Yamamoto is easy to talk to and her explanation about condition of eyes is very easy to understand. I recommend Dr. Yamamoto to anyone who is looking for good eye doctor.
The customer service was totally poor. Especially the president...I am very sad and feel disappointed about it. I have few friends who live in Hawaii but I will not recommend them to go here...
Excellent professional service so far. Had high IOP and got it reduced. Had cataract and got it removed and replaced with IOL. Excellent 20/20 vision. Standby for final cataract IOL replacement, second eye.
I was humiliated by my accent yesterday when i tried to have an appoitment the first time. The Manger yelled at me on the phone so angry and corrected my pronunciation in English and said she doesn’t understand my English and I felt totally denigrated by Manager. I couldn’t have appointment finally! .
I went to see her for three times. The first two times were okay, although the staff who did the eye exam was very rude. I went back as "annual checkup" for the third time. It was the worst. I had an impression she does not care what patients need. She is choosing patients for her benefit. Once she finishes with the patient, she turns to be cold. Even if you need advise from her, she is not interested in doing ANYTHING for you and show you a very cold attitude. Now I understand the reason why the lady who does the eye exam is hired as employee. Because this doctor herself does not care about what experience patients have by them. You should take your own risk to go visit her. It's so sad to see we have such a horrible doctor in Hawaii.
Dr. Yamamoto was very competent informative and helpful during my first visit. I am very satisfied with her as my eye physician, and will retain her as my primary eye doctor.
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I went to Dr. Yamamoto's office after years with my optometrist; as I got older, I felt I needed the services of an ophthalmologist so I decided to give Dr. Yamamoto a try. Everyone in her office was very friendly and professional! Dr. Yamamoto took the time to explain to me what was going on with my eyes, and she suggested I not do LASIK or glaucoma surgery; I ordered a year's supply of daily disposable contacts at a better rate than my optometrist; I am a patient of Dr. Yamamoto's for life!
Went to get a second opinion for cataract surgery. Dr. Yamamoto was highly recommended. Current doctor said I needed cataract surgery and strongly recommended the surgery 3 times. Dr. Yamamoto's office staff and herself are bilingual. Staff explains well and are friendly. Her office tech that did the eye exam is very thorough...more so than other eye doctor offices I've been to and very friendly, courteous and professional...I'm sorry if I did not get her name. Dr. Yamamoto is very professional and explains well. She is not out to make more money but told me the truth that I didn't need the cataract surgery at this time. I respect her diagnosis and opinion as I was not sure but felt that I didn't need the surgery. I highly recommend going to this eye doctor to check your eyes as she will tell you the truth instead of making money out of unnecessary surgeries and her staff is great!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
