List of James F Scoggin's Reviews
Excellent. Dr. Scoggin was highly recommended to me by a friend who is a doctor in another field. Dr. Scoggin is an extremely thorough and professional doctor who has the capacity to expertly analyze and treat symptoms. I’ve been a patient of his with a few sport-related injuries over the years and his injury analysis and treatment suggestions have always been spot on. You can fully have faith in the healing process when you have Doctor Scoggin in charge. I hear he is an amazing surgeon too, with a specialization in the shoulder, of which I am not surprised.
I broke both bones in my ankle in 1996 walking the Diamond Head trail (my second day in Hawaii). Dr. Scoggin performed the surgery (plates, pins); and when I returned to Portland, OR a local surgeon commented, "He did an excellent job." I never had the hardware removed, but do still use my soft cast for support during the very infrequent times my ankle aches. The scars were negligible, and twenty-plus years later I walk perfectly fine. Thank you, Dr. Scoggin!
the best experience ever.
In early 2007, I met with Dr Scoggins to review problems with my shoulder. The diagnosis, following an MRI was a tear of my supraspinatus muscle. The surgery repaired a complete tear. I had three months of physical therapy. Due to the excellent work of Dr Scoggins and the physical therapist. my shoulder has been, with the notable exception of the scar, without problem for the last four years.
He never treated my knee condition right and it turned out I have a meniscus problem.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
