Love it! The staff and doctors are super nice, especially Mimi Dresen. (She’s my sister)). Dr Jenkins explains procedures well, and is so knowledgeable that she puts me to ease.1
Dr Nikpoor and the staff at Jenkins Eye Care are terrific. Friendly, thoughtful and organized. I really trust my eyes with Dr Nikpoor and team.
I went for cataract testing and information. After extensive testing I met with Dr. Nikpoor. I was very confused. She explained everything in a very patient, simple way. She explained that she believed I would be happy with her lens choice after a discussion about what results I would like. I trusted her experience, made my appointments that include lots of testing for a great outcome. I have had my first eye done and no longer wear thick glasses except readers to see small print. I am so excited to get my other eye done tomorrow! Last weeks surgery was so well done! The Surgery Suites is great! Check in, wait your turn, go to your comfy recliner for eye drops, IV, warm blankets and relaxing until surgery. For your surgery you walk in to the chair, lay back, lots of drapes/ linens, anesthesiologist, nurses, more drops, doctor, eye open, look at the light, done! They said it would be about 15 minutes, it seemed like 5 minutes! Then to recovery for one more eye drop, crackers and a drink. Back home, with eye drops, instructions for post op, and a clear comfortable patch for the evening. I love all these professionals! I am very happy with my decision to have cataract surgery with Jenkins Eye Care, The Surgery Suites, and Dr. Nikpoor.
I recently had my left/right eye cataract surgery done by Dr. Needa Nikpoor at the Jenkins eye center . Such a wonderful experience! I was so impressed by how organized and synchronized the entire team was! You’re a little apprehensive because it’s “your eyes “ . The staff and doctors were so reassuring & kind through out my entire experience. Prior to my surgery, I had developed an eye irritation that needed to be cleared before surgery . My usual optometrist office was closed. Knowing that I needed treatment, the staff went out of their way and had me booked to see a doctor at their center. I highly recommend The Jenkins eye center!
Their focus on the comfort of the patient lifted all my anxiety. The procedure was so quick and without any discomfort that I was surprised it was over, when completed.
Amazing experience. What a miracle Dr Nikpoor was wonderful kind and so good at her job, the efficiency of the process was so fine tuned. Thank you so much for my new eyes. Tiffany Sullens
Check-in was good. However, I went to the restroom and when I returned my husband who is my driver because its one of their policies, was told to leave. He couldn't sit in the lobby to wait for me. There's plenty of seats in the lobby that were empty. If there's a need for me to have driver, he needs to be accommodated to be able to wait. Refer to your scheduling of patients so these types of issues doesn't happen. He felt unwelcoming with no compassion. I had the idea to leave this place but my husband took off work today to be my driver. The No Guest policy needs to be revised for these types of appointments. I'm concerned for when I come back for my surgery that he won't be able to wait in the lobby. When scheduling my surgery appointment, I'll make sure to note this, it's unacceptable and an inconvenience.
Dr. Neda Nikpoor is the best! She is very qualified, very professional and takes the time to explain different options and procedures. I was very comfortable with her and she tells you exactly what she's doing during surgery. I am very pleased with the results and the whole process of getting new eyes. I highly recommend her.
I have to drive my husband to his eye appointment but I am not allowed to wait in the waiting room!!!!! I had to go wait outside!!! You guys are some messed up people it is not ok to treat someone like this! Your office deals with patients eyes and they should be able to bring their driver to the wait room! Nothing contagious happening in that wait room! This is so very rude and I will be telling anyone and everyone your customer service is non existent. I was told this is the Doctors policy my question is why? We are way past Covid. Or is it because you are the only specialist on the Island so you have the right to be rude!! I have never felt so belittled in my life!!! I have a husband going blind and I cant even wait in the waiting room while he gets care at an eye appointment. I cant wrap my head around that!!!! Rude
Had the best experience ever, Dr Tyrie was explained everything to me as I was extemely nervous, the office staff the tech, everyone was fantastic, I have had friends ask about the procedure etc., and have highly recommended Jenkins Eye Care and Dr Tyrie. Awesome job.....

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
