List of Jessica S. Barry's Reviews
Dr. Barry has been our physician for about 10 years. Dr. Barry is well versed in her field. She gives us 100% of her attention during our visits. She remembers each of us (husband and wife) and our medical histories. If she does not have an answer to a question she will tell us so and follow up once she has researched and has answers. During Covid she has conducted Zoom talks on subjects of interest to her patients.
Dr. Jessica Barry is my 89 year old dad's Geriatrician. Dad had a stroke and has arthritis, and Mom is his main caregiver. Dr. Barry is the nicest, friendliest, most patient, caring doctor. She is very knowledgeable and kind, and always has a smile. She is very thorough when explaining all of Dad’s treatment and medications, and answers all of our questions. We never have a long wait or feel rushed at her appointments, including telehealth appointments. She refers Dad to appropriate specialists when needed, and is always caring and concerned about his and Mom's comfort and health. Dr. Barry always returns my calls promptly, even when she is off-island. She orders services and equipment promptly for Dad. Arranging for Dad to see Dr. Barry was the best decision I ever made for him.
I have only great things to say about Dr. Barry. As a caregiver, she has made both my life and my mom's life easier by being very thorough and pleasant. Her staff is also excellent and we've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see her and even if we did have to, it would be worth it. One of the things that I like about that office is we take home a summary of the visit and attached to it is a list of my mom's current medications that we keep posted on our board at home. It comes in handy when I get asked the questions about her meds and if there is follow up things we need to do. Everything is on there! I highly recommend having an elderly person to get a geriatric as a PCP.
Dr. Barry is very good at what she has been called to do. Take care of patients with Dimentia. Very quick with her answers, knows what she is talking about. Very helpful, honest and knowledgeable.
Dr. Jessica Barry makes each patient feel "special". She responds to every question in a timely manner and her consideration of family is excellent. If you are looking for a caring doctor, a considerate doctor, a knowledgeable doctor; look no further than Dr. Barry. I trust her with my mother's life. Christina Hogan
Dr Barry is not the greatest, besides the fact that she's really strict when you're 1 min late "past the 15 min grace period" she's not understanding. Given the fact that she's a geriatrician and majority of her patients (like my grand mother) moves slow due to age etc... I notice that she doesn't like returning calls and would rather have the nurse practitioner do the work. Her availability in scheduling can be difficult that is why we don't see her anymore and changed PCPs.

Dr Barry had a great bedside manner but is very slow to respond to call backs and staff seems moderately trained.
I took my mom in to see Dr. Barry as a last resort as her regular internist was extremely negligent and dismissive of her concerns. Dr. Barry was extremely kind, patient, thorough, and knowledgeable with the needs of elderly people. At the time of her visit, my mom weighed 65 lbs, again because of her regular doctor who should not even be practicing medicine. Within 2 weeks, she has gained 5 lbs and has regained some of the use of her muscles again. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Barry. She treated my mom like a human being with fears and concerns, not like a number or a someone disposable. We are so blessed to have found such a a wonderful doctor. I believe she saved my mom's life where other doctors would have let her waste away. She really listens and she really cares!
Medicare and Tricare for Life. Dr. Barry is board certified in both Internal and Geriatric Medicine. She is sweet natured, thorough, patient, explains things exceedingly well and up to date on the latest studies and publications. We saw her as new patients (both my husband and myself) and spent considerable time with her. She is obviously good and enthusiastic at her work. Thus far we are extremely pleased.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
