Smooth procedure. Nice staff. Nice office. Easy parking, Daughter had all 4 wisdoms pulled and no problems. Thank you!

If you're a person of color, or even just a person with common sense, don't go here. A friend had work done here and was forced to uncomfortably listen to Lyle and his assistant talk about extremely inappropriate conversations, including racial issues, covid (joking about Chinese people when the Asian community has been assaulted over these types of jokes), and not being able to dress up as racist stereotypes for halloween due to people being "sensitive." This is not only completely inappropriate to be speaking about in a professional setting but this is not behavior that anyone should want to support.

I would give top marks.  I had a tooth removed today.  Frankly, I was terrified.  Dr Yanagihara is excellent at putting a patient at ease which certainly helped me.  He works very fast and efficiently and his people know exactly what he needs and when.  An extraction is not a wonderful thing to have, but my worst fears were not realized and I say thanks to the a doctor and his team.  Aloha

He is very pleasant and sincere to me that is. I felt very comfortable in his hands even if i was a little nervous having the procedure done (extraction of cracked tooth). The thing that bothered me was his receptionist at the front desk as she was checking me out and scheduling follow up visit. When she started talking about him being her boss. I thought that was none of my business and should have been kept between him and her and not shared with the patients (me) at the time. Very inappropriate behavior. Show a little respect girl!! I feel as if I should say something to him but not sure how i would do that. Im sure there are others who would love to have her job. We shall see if she still works there on my next visit.

AMAZING Staff!  I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and I was very surprised at how fast and efficient Dr. Yanagihara was.  I had no pain after and he was very informative both during and after the procedure.  His office staff member Aliah and his Nurse Terry were awesome.  I really appreciate everyone there for making me feel so comfortable.  I would HIGHLY recommend going to Dr. Yanagihara.  Thanks Again! I was referred by my primary dentist for tooth extraction and possible implant. The handivan drops off curbside on Makaloa. There is a ramp up to the front door. The office is very wheelchair accessible as was the restroom very close by. The staff was friendly and informed. I arrived very early but Dr. Y was able to take me in early and do the extraction the same day instead of having me come back another day. He was personable and efficient. The office is clean, modern and pleasant. All and all considering what I was there for it was a pleasant experience.

Had a consultation appointment for my daughter at 1:45pm. We were at the wrong dentist in Kahala. Called the office to let them know will be running 10 minutes late thinking there was a grace period. We went back and forth about trying to accommodate my daughters appointment. We were 10 minutes away and would've made it to the office by 2pm.  They insisted we reschedule. The receptionist then started getting rude and obnoxious to top it off the Doctor came on the phone like a Mitch trying to save her. He then said go see someone else it seems like we are getting off on bad terms. Sorry mr. High maka maka!! We will!! You need Jesus have a nice day.

Dr. Yanagihara is awesome. When I had my two wisdom teeth removed, I couldn't even tell that he already pulled my second tooth out. It was a quick procedure with minimal pain. I'm very satisfied- it took only about 30 minutes to do both teeth.

I had an infected molar two weeks prior to having total hip surgery. Dr. Yanagihara took me in ASAP that day I called. In no time I was in and out of his office on the road to recovery in time so that my total hip Surgical procedure could proceed on time. When you first walk through his Office doors you see is very modern like logo through frosted glass. Inside warm wood flooring with modern details surrounding the office and I thought it was a high Makamaka kind of place. But to my surprise the office staff was so friendly and warm that it put my anxiety to ease.I got seated in the dentist chair with sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat because I have a fear of dentists. LOL it stems from a bad childhood experiences with dentist.Then Dr. Yanagihara walks in and greets me with a "Howzit" kind a caught me off guard but totally made me relax.His anesthesia block technique was really good. Being anesthesia tech for 25 years you kind of know who has great hands and who does not. Dr. Yanagihara definitely has great hands. His titration of medication into your gums is slow and smooth with no discomfort at all and before I knew it I was numb and ready for a tooth extraction.Doctor Yanagihara explained what he was doing every step of the way and before I knew it my tooth was out. Definitely a great oral surgeon.

I was so thrilled my daughter had a terrific experience at Dr. Yanagihara's.  Dr invited me in to the room to meet him and review what was going to happen and assured my daughter she can let him know if she's not numb enough.  He removed 2 teeth in 2 minutes!  My daughter was surprised at how quick and gentle the procedure went.  Dr & his assistant, Alia(sp?) were both professional, enthusiastic, kind and great at what they do.  The front office staff were friendly as well.  Beautiful, newer office.  Satisfied patient & ready for braces!
