Dr Ing is very old, does not listen, over runs you in conversation, and will use appts do redo tests you don't need bc he doesn't remember taking the test last time. Waste of time going to three different appts for him to Not Listen, actually yell at me that "he knew better and was doing all the testing cause he's the doctor" and tell me that what I have can't be reversed without even the offer of trying. I'll get a second opinion. There comes a time when you're just too old of a white man to be telling others they don't know anything when the internet and knowledge are abundant. I would never return to his practice in a million years. If he was the last eye doctor on island well, I guess I'd go blind rather than deal with him ever again. Dinosaur. I actually thought I'd be dealing with someone who listened to my issues but he did not. He literally yelled at me, told me I didn't know what I was talking about when I was explaining the things HE SAID at my last appointment and repeated tests I did not need again. Your response is very unbecoming of a business owner. I hope others see your true colors and you go out of business. There is no way doctors are supposed to treat you as I was treated and better yet, it seems like you'd like to fix this! I am seeing other "world renowned" doctors I FOIND VIA THE INTERNET LIKE I DID ING and how the rest of the world FINDS INFORMATION and doctors, plus, as a good patient does, TRIES TO FUGURE OUT what is wrong with them before they get in-front of YELLING doctors. I am young enough to go and get an optometrist degree and will most certainly outlive Dr. Ing. Good luck with your dinosaur practice!

Dr Ing is competent and knowledgeable. He takes time with his patients and is accommodating. Also has good skills.

My son have been seeing Dr Ing since he was 1 month old. We traveled from the Big Island to come and see him and received good news that he can help. We moved back home in Honolulu a few months later and at the age of 14yrs old now, we still trust in Dr Ing to care for my child. Overall, if you are looking for help with vision, Dr Malcolm Ing is the perfect person to see.

I have been going to Dr. Ing for about 30 years now. He is highly educated, highly skilled and is often interviewed by the news media when it comes to medical matters. He has been conservative in my care and has discouraged me from having surgery to correct my vision; he has corrected my vision through contact lenses and I have had no problems. I would highly recommend him to other prospective patients.
