Dr. Pharaon is an amazing surgeon. He is one of the stars of the Straub Burn unit. That burn unit is the best in the islands.

I have worked with Dr Pharaon and noted that if ever the need arise I would go to him. My Boyfriend got bitten by a dog on his upper lip. It was a distressful site that caused panic and stress. The disfigurement was worrisome. We got an immediate appointment with Dr Pharaon. The whole experience from beginning to end exceeded out expectation. He was very kind, sympathetic, thorough, patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He has an excellent team from admission with Charlene to the procedure room with Jen and Kayla. Very professional, comforting, and accommodating. Dr Pharaon worked his magic. He is a perfectionist surgeon and highly skillful. The outcome and transformation of the repair washed away the doom and gloom feeling we had. When my boyfriend sent the after picture to his friend, he commented that it didn't look that bad at all. If only he saw the before picture. I highly commend this team and beyond grateful for making such a big difference in our lives.

Earlier this year my son was bit in the face at a family party, the host had let their dog loose and bit him with no warning. I probably would had met Dr Pharaon sooner if I went straight to Kapiolani but I didn't. Queens Ewa did what they could and said he would be fine but he wasn't. He had a horrible scar and skin tag. I finally called Kapiolani referral line and they sent me to Dr Pharons office. I cried and told the person who answered why I was calling and told her what happened to my son. Nina had taken my call that day ... she took care of me and got me in ASAP and had all my records pulled. Dr Pharaon scheduled our appointment for a procedure to remove the remaining skin tag and made us so comfortable with trusting him with our son's face. The procedure was so quick and the healing process happened so fast you would NEVER know that he had been bitten by a dog in February because as of today his face is as smooth as the day before the dog attack. He literally erased the scars with his skill at repairing his wound. There is no constant reminder of what had happened and I'm so greatful. He will always be my go to if ever my children need surgery. I'll even go to him for myself if I need to! Do not hesitate if you're referred to him. Him and his staff are truly angels. Thank you Dr Pharaon, Nina and Jennifer! I will never stop sharing about how wonderful you all were to our family.

I have had such an experience with Dr. Pharaon and his team that works and supports him. I truly felt safe, comforted and overall I was able to recognize their sincere love that they offer in their service they provided. I had a basal cancer (third time on my nose) on my nose. The nose is a very difficult place. He used amazing skill to close the substantial hole. It has healed so nicely. As important I want to add he is a very thorough doctor with a really nice way of communicating with me as a patient. One last thing is he is a surgeon with not only a skilled hand , he is gentle when he works. My post op pain was minimal due to him not using carless heavy hands! Thanks doctor

Brought us back in, immediately, post-op after a concern we submitted via the dept. nurse. Turns out it was nothing, but the "better safe than sorry" approach for my child is what any parent would desire. He is cautious, educated, professional, and thorough. My family could NOT ask for more! Very pleased with UNC for having additional staff members such as Dr. Pharaon. I didn't think anyone could hold a candle to Dr. van Aalst. Dr. Pharaon is a close second!

Dr. Pharaon was very professional and thorough, spending a lot of time with me and making sure to answer all of my questions. I am so happy to have found a doctor who obviously cares about his patients' best interests and is willing to take the time to make sure I am educated and comfortable with my diagnosis. Would definitely recommend to others.
