MIchelle Miyashiro's Online Review Report Card

I've been seeing Dr. Miyashiro since 2013 and I can't say enough great things about her. She's been there for me and patiently listened even with me and my family asking the same questions multiple times in different ways repeatedly. She's more than just a doctor, she's caring and understanding. Never judgmental and always taking the time to make sure I'm ok physically and mentally. The staff have always been kind and considerate.Honestly, I don't usually write reviews on yelp for medical professions but I just wanted people to know that she is awesome because if you are being referred to see her, then usually you need peace of mind. Rest assured. She's awesome.Understand the stress and demands of healthcare workers and that they are multi-tasking. It's a busy office. If it wasn't, that would be more questionable. So I'm grateful.

Dr. Miyashiro is a doctor who is supportive, informative, and caring. She didn't force me to accept regimens that I wasn't comfortable with, and throughout my treatment Dr. Miyashiro always took the time to explain the options in order to help me make informed decisions. Most importantly, she has allowed me to have control over my own destiny.

Michelle Miyashiro is a nonpareil in her specialty, & moreover, treats her patients with utmost kindness & respect which makes them thankful to be treated in her limited practice. She listens well to her patients & gives them the opportunity to participate in the planning & decision making of the best treatment for themselves. She is a truly special person & an outstanding doctor.

Dr. Miyashiro is knowledgeable and can explain things so you understand. She is kind and the most caring doctor I've ever met. She listens to you and understands what you need. She also is a great patient advocate and you don't have to worry about arguing with the insurance company because she or her staff will argue on your behalf. She spends time with each patient and really gets to know you not just as a patient but a person. Very knowledgeable of both Eastern and Western medicine.

I scheduled my appointment months in advance, I arrived 20 minutes early, and was kept waiting by Dr. Miyashiro for over 75 minutes (not including my arriving 20 minutes early.) She offered no explanation or apology. My time is important to me as I'm sure the doctor's is to her. I can't imagine her staff allowing me to see the doctor if I arrived over 75 minutes late for the appointment.

I like Dr. Miyashiro and think she's competent but the time spent in the waiting room is long, often an hour. The waiting room is small and crowded, after 30 or so minutes they call you to be weighed and blood pressure then return to the waiting room until treatment room available then wait for doctor. It's very stressful. I happen to believe that if you can't manage your time well then what else isn't being done well.
