I am a very senior person and when I called for an appointment I could barely hear the soft and fast voice of the receptionist and had to tell her each time to repeat and speak up and slow down.The reception area is always crowded because one is never take on time.I had a cataract surgery by Dr. Lo in April 2015 and it could not have been worse. On the removal of the old lens- in Dr. Lo's words - part of it escaped. It ended up in the back of my eyeball and another surgeon took over immediately and removed it. The procedure basically ruined the eye and I have extremely limited blurry vision to the point I failed the Driver's License eye exam. I don't recall an apology and/or words of comfort - just business as usual. Our attorney said that although a lawsuit would have merit, it is a very lengthy and emotionally complicated procedure, so I ruled it out and get on as best as I can.After 3 years with blurry vision I was denied a complimentary courtesy consultation by Dr.Lo's office in March 2018.I have documentary proof from my Mainland Ophthalmologist to authenticate my claim.Edelgard MatzenHonolulu

I've been seeing Dr Lo for almost 2 years and every single time there's always a wonderful experience! Yes it's almost always busy and there's a good 15-20 minutes wait but I have no complaints. Five stars for excellent continuous care from staff and Dr Lo. I'll be a patient of his until he retires.

I've been coming here for about three years or so, mainly for check ups. Everyone is really friendly here and well mannered. When I initially came here to get contact lenses for the first time, the girl that was helping me was really patient with me teaching me how to properly put it in and cleaning them regularly. I felt bad because I took 15 minutes just for me to put it in one eye lol. I've even called them once because i was overdue for a check up which meant that I couldn't purchase my contacts online till I got checked up (which they didn't have an opening till the next month) but they were more than willing give me a pass and order just for this month. The only con I can think of is that the time spent with Dr. Lo is pretty short, I'm not sure if it's because I only go for check ups or he's just really busy. But overall he nice, straight to the point and answers the questions I have.

Terrible bed side manners. If you're looking for a Dr. who's not into answering your questions, dismissive, and condescending, Dr. is your guy! He's old and and I'd be concerned having someone who's still practicing old medicine touch me let alone my eyes!

I have been coming here for more than 7yrs. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Everytime I call for an appointment they really try to work with my schedule. I've always got what I wanted or they come close to my requested date and time. The wait time is pretty long on Saturdays but expect that cause it's Saturday and half day! Weekdays are smooth and quick. Dr. Lo is very knowledgeable. I feel comfortable talking to him and ask alot of questions with him giving me his suggestions and different options. They take most insurance and some speak different languages: chinese, korean, etc...They call you the day before for appointment reminders.

I came in for my annual eye examination. The front staff was friendly and nice. The office was not packed with patients and it was not a busy day. I was surprised that I did not have to wait longer than 30 minutes to see Dr. Lo in comparison to previous years. HDr. Lo was unprofessional, lacked adequate follow-up to my previous eye problem and provided unclear & inconsistent answers to my questions. He kept asking me the same question over and over again after I gave him the same answers. Also, he provided brief and careful answers, didn't take time to explain, and he was hesitant to provide answers to my questions and concerns. For the first time since I have been a regular patient, he did not have the proper bedside manner, and demonstrated rudeness, negative attitude, and lacked in a caring attention to my health concerns. I left the office with a negative experience! I have canceled my next appointment, and I will find another ophthalmologist for my eye and vision care in the future.

I certainly trust Dr Lo with my eye care
