Dr Glazier has excellent bedside manner. He Is an excellent Neurosurgeon. He’s very patient. Will take the time to answer any questions you may have. Highly Recommended !!!
Find another surgeon! I required an outpatient cervical disc replacement surgery and he slipped and cut my vertebral artery! I had to be monitored for stroke and had to be hospitalized for several days. Told them I was in so much pain (could tell by the rise in my blood pressure), but nothing was done to bump up the pain meds. They discharged me because they didn't have another room available and was sent home with pain meds. It didn't help the severe pain I was experiencing and asked the Dr for something stronger temporarily. He refused so I called my Internal Med Dr who prescribed something stronger. I only had to take it for 2 days until the pain was more manageable with the pain med Dr. Glazier prescribed. It put unnecessary stress on my body, not to mention my mind to have been put through this due to his carelessness and insensitivity!!! He doesn't even deserve a star, but had to click on the 1 star to write this review.
This is the most frustrating to try and know whats going to happen with my son's brain surgery not getting return phone calls for two weeks, finally day surgery scheduled it's cancelled because knowing my son has a blood clotting issues the hospital says it's up to the doctors orders to when to test the blood. He wait until the day of the surgery!! The clotting issue still excites so after waiting a month for the shunt, it's postponed for at least a couple of days. I believe there was never actually going to do the surgery today this is one big stall tactic, after another becuase all they dr involved keep blaming someother dr for the mix up's.
Horrible experience; never even walked into the office. First, it is apparently the practice of this clinic to make medical decisions without meeting with the patient. Let me explain. Upon receiving a referral from another physician, I called Dr. Glazier's office to make an appointment. I was told to have my insurance company fax over an authorization letter and my medical records. With my physical state deteriorating by the week, I asked if we could go ahead and make an appointment and I would have the information faxed as soon as we hung up. It was then that I was informed, Dr. Glazier will make a recommendation based upon my medical records and once he had, they would contact me. I was stunned. I have never heard of this procedure and hope to never come across it ever again. How can a medical professional make a well informed decision regarding another person's health without seeing, hearing, and physically examining said individual? Furious, disheartened, and without any other option (the only other neurosurgeon in the state that accepted my insurance worked in the same practice and handled the process the same way), I hung up and clinged on to what little hope I had, my medical records. I contacted my insurance company and provided the fax number I had verified with the clinic three times. My insurance company let me know the amount of documents heading to Dr Glazier's office was many, so I should give the clinic a heads up. I called the clinic, let them know, and before hanging up the the individual asked to verify the fax number. I said I had already verified it three times before and the fax had already been submitted but if he wanted to then I would. Upon giving him the number, he said it was wrong. I rushed off the phone to get back with my insurance company to hopefully stop the fax. We couldn't; so I had to submit a report. I got back on the phone with the clinic (a third person) to verify the second number I was given. It was correct and they could not figure out where the first number came from. So, I sent the new fax. Someone later called me (fourth person) and told me the first number was actually fine and it was just a big mix up and that they would probably be receiving my information twice. Okay, great. She went on to say she would contact me once she received my files. Never heard back. I called the following business day to make sure they had received it. I was told yes, they had, and it was still pending (Doctor had seven business days to make a decision and they would contact me when he did). A few days later, someone from the clinic called and said they needed me to fax over my information. Confused, I told them about the four hour ordeal I went through the week before regarding my information and how I contacted them just two days prior and was told they had, in fact, received them. She was confused and promised to call back when she figured it out. Never heard back. I tried contacting them several times to figure out what was going on. Never heard back. Finally got them on the phone on business day 8, only to be told he does not deal with spinal fusions. When asked why it took them so long to tell me that, or why I wasn't told that from the very first conversation, they did not have an answer. I'm floored. If you are in constant pain and are in need of help, avoid this clinic and definitely avoid these Nuerosurgeons. Just in the time I've waited to hear from them, I've had three spinal injections and added new medications to the growing list I already take just to be able to function day to day. People like this should not be able to practice. My recommendation? Go find someone who cares and whose professionalism reflects it. It's too bad Google requires me to give them 1 star because they don't even deserve that.
Told Dr Glazier would make a decision based on medical records alone - without seeing, hearing, or physically examining me. What type of professional handles the care of his patients in such away. The cases that come across his desk are far from the average cold. Waited 8 business days after several hours of handling mixups and 0 returned phone calls, to be told he doesn't deal with spinal fusions. This doctor & clinic are the epitome of what's wrong with the healthcare system. Avoid at all cost
We were on vacation in Hawaii. My son just had his VP shunt revised 1 mo prior. I honestly didn't think that it could fail that soon but it did. We were seen at Kapiolani by Dr. Glazier. His bedside manner was 10/10. He answered all our questions without being frustrated. He too felt strongly not to rush into surgery and try to rule out other causes. When my son started to feel worse surgery was recommended. He saw us twice a day while he was recovering. Answered all our questions and made my wife and I feel at ease. He talked about other potential ways to operate if this continues to recur. I do not offer a lot of praise unless one deserves a shout out. I totally recommend this pediatric neurosurgeon to the families that are looking for compassionate care.
Amazing surgeon! I named my second born after him. Cares for his patients, very knowledgable.
Very approachable and knowledgable. Takes as much time as necessary to fully explain problem/dignosis, and to answer all questions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
