Steven R. Brauer's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Brauer is the best doctor you can have. We had him for our doctor for a number of years while living in Honolulu. We moved to Nevada in 2017. I wish we could find a doctor like him in Nevada. No luck so far. He is the most caring doctor that we have ever found. We truly miss him.

Dr. Brauer is very through and shows genuine concern for my health ... he calls after hours and even on weekends to review my blood chemistry ... very comforting!

Dr. Brauer has got to be one of the most efficient and pleasant physicians I've been a patient too. Maybe it's Queens who has great doctors? Him, my OBGYN, cardiologist and social worker are very awesome and I'm so lucky to have them treat me. Dr. Brauer's bedside manner is very gentle. He's very thorough  and explains in an easy to follow, companionate manner. I never feel rushed, even when I call physicians exchange for several pressing situations I've had. He even talked me through instructions over the phone, internationally on how to handle an ear infection. I was having an adverse reaction to an antibiotic a Thailand hospital gave me after an urgent care gave me US veterinary ear drops (which he advised me to stop taking and why- Yikes!). Who does that?? Goes through such great lengths? Dr. Brauer. He isn't just a great doctor. He's a great person who truly cares.

Dr. Steven  Brauer is kind and efficient. He takes time to call, to see how things are going. He is a keeper. I'm blessed to have him for my PCP and I appreciate him, very much.

Dr Steven Brauer is the epitome of a doctor, he is empathetic, common sensical, knowledgeable, and thorough.  In my search for the right doctor, I had to fill the irritating medical inquisition forms yet again.  This time it made a real difference.  Dr Brauer went beyond the prior clinical diagnosis and prescribed medications.  He suggested the possible "causes", additional technical analysis, how the body functions in regards to your condition, information classes, and treatment options.  This is the perspective I was looking for!  Not just a hypothesis of a illness, prescribing a pill and if that doesn't work, try another pill.  He also doesn't have to and really shouldn't, but even calls after hours to inform you of test results, medication suggestions (due to test results) and other pertinent issues.  He possesses the sincerity, kindness, and humanity missing in the bedside manner of so many others in the medical profession.

Dr. Brauer takes the time and effort to know you as a person and help you with what you need.  It's nice to find someone who cares and works diligently for you as your Doctor, very hard to find!

He's the most amazing doctor, he really takes his time to call and check up on you and genuinely understand your situation/problem, even if he can't always fix it as a doctor himself, he'll try his absolute best. He's fast, efficient, professional. When I had a medical situation that was time-sensitive, he prescribed my medication over the phone, no problem and was okay with me coming in afterwards for my check up. He fit me in as his last patient of the day and always goes farther than halfway to meet you. Recommend him as your PCP if you can get him!

Dr. Steven Brauer is absolutely AMAZING. Having trouble with finding a PCP who would accept my insurance.. dreading time-consuming visits from my last doctor, he was an AMAZING BREATH OF FRESH AIR. He doesn't make you wait long, follows up with you, his office is quick with referrals, is very thoughtful in listening, very thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients; going as far as to call after office hours about his concerns about my well-being and health. I hope he stays, because I can't imagine a better doctor. The only problem is his busy schedule for new patients but then again, who wouldn't want him as a doctor? I would recommend everybody, if he is open for new patients!

Like Kristin S., I felt like I was Dr. Brauer's only patient as he took considerable time during my first appointment and called me (on a Sunday!) to clear up some questions that he had about my history after review records of my prior physicians.   He asked about issues that I had assumed were minor as they had been ignored by my two previous primary docs. and suggested interventions that have proved to be very helpful.  I hope he stays in Hawaii because he is a real gem.
