List of Straub Benioff Medical Center-Kahala Clinic & Urgent Care's Reviews
The lady in the front definitely had a bit of an attitude, but the back staff, and especially the doctor was great. Took time up explain, thoughtful throughout, great experience.
Went to clinic follow up and had Dr. Wasden. Not very friendly and didn't listen to what had to say. Just wanted to be done with me and move on to the next patient. Not impressed at all. If you go here call see who the doctor is working. Front desk staff was kind. Young lady kept me informed on timing as had long wait. Is curious some Come in after you go in before you.
They don’t care about you. They got there medical degree to get a pay check. Nothing is urgent about this urgent care. It’s a shame to other practitioners that care.
The receptionist Will is an idiot. I made an appointment to see a doctor for the Kahala location, then I get a call to remind me about the appointment for the South King St. location. I had to cancel the appointment because if I went to the South King St. location, I would have been late for work. Will then rescheduled the appointment for Kahala, but it had to be two weeks later after my original appointment. Come to find out, he AGAIN scheduled my doctors appointment for the South King St. location when he specifically stated this time it was for the Kahala location. Point is I asked for the Kahala location twice and twice he scheduled me for the South King St. location. Because of this moron, I have been in physical pain for more than a month. His incompetence is messing up my work and school schedule and I had to cancel an MRI, which took me 2 weeks of waiting to be finally "approved". I was willing to pay out of pocket because I need to know what SPECIFICALLY is wrong with my back. I am not looking for disability, I do not want to collect workers comp, I am not here to steal money from taxpayers or my employers. The drugs keep the pain at bay, but it effects my motor functions when I am at both school and work. I can't think straight, and my mind is in a haze. My hands and arms have now started tingling, the pain from the sciatica, which it may or may not be sciatica, because I do not know for sure without the MRI or from any input from the doctor I was supposed to see at the KAHALA location to confirm it being 100% sciatica. My condition is getting worst. I go to school and work fulltime. It is a heavy load. I rarely get open days to see doctors or make appointments. Will is incompetent and a fool. He is going to kill somebody one day because he wastes their time due to his idiotic performance and poor phone etiquette.
Checked in at 1030 am. Finally went in at 1130 while everyone that was after us went in before us. The front desk wasn't pleasant at all. Her face looks like "wtf am I working on Sunday and I hate my job". When we got in a swab test was done and from the looks of it she didn't swab correctly especially if your testing for 3 tests. We didn't even see a Dr just was taken back to do vitals symptoms and a swab. Then we're told to wait another 40 mins and wait back into the waiting room when negative results could be called and normal results no call. Don't understand the part of waiting when im sure these test are rapid tests. Staying in a crowded room full of flu like symptoms just spreads sickness!
Wait a minute - I am seeing that some ppl were able to schedule appointments?! I called to schedule and was briskly told "walk-in's only" and when I tried to see how long the wait would be (just an estimate) because I have a commitment later, they wouldn't answer me. NOT to say they COULD not, they WOULD not.
Our experience with my wife for her pregnancy appointment went well. Parking was quick and easy to find (depending on the time you go, we went after lunch). We got seen on time. Staff at front was good, and nurses were professional and caring. Building is steam and neat.
Can I leave no stars? Horrible scheduling. Never on time. If they ask you to come early, don't even bother. You won't be seen on time anyways. I don't know why my time should not be as important as doctor's? I took time from my work for a scheduled appointment and have not been seen on time EVER. I mean EVER. have been a patient here for years, I yet to be seen on time. Dear management, you really need to look into a root cause analysis. This is inaceptable. The worst clinic in the state. It is not a non for profit, you are in a business of making money. I pay you or you get paid by insurance or government. no excuse for such inefficient management if you were any other business, you would have no customers.
Women working in the front are rude. Wait times are too long.
On 11/2/24 took my 94 year old mom to Straub Urgent Care Kahala. They were courteous, efficient and provided excellent care. Dr Natanauan and nurse Heaven (appropriately named) saw her within 15 minutes. They thought carefully about her treatment given her condition and age. Having been to other Urgent Cares, not having a long wait or broken machines and receiving expert medical care I highly recommend this one. Mahalo!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
