The Queen's Health Care Center-Kahala's Online Review Report Card

Our primary physician and nurse is on the 2nd floor of Urgent Care Kahala. Lots of individuals are unaware there is a 2nd floor for physicians and the negative reviews that was written are based on the 1st floor urgent care services. Our Primary Physician, Nurse and the staff on the 2nd floor are AWESOME!!!! From our experiences in the offices, and services continue to represent a positive services in every manner!! Untruthful on posted hours - they close doors and lights over an hour before posted time, refusing care

Be careful if you plan on getting a TB test at this location. I had one done there and after returning to have it read, they read it as "positive". Not only did the injection site not have a distinguishable enough "bump", they measured the so called bump at twice the size of what it actually was. I was so distraught at how adamant they were that it was "positive". At no point did they suggest a second test, or another location like Lanakila who specializes in testing for TB. So we decided to go to Lanakila (which I highly recommend for TB testing) and not surprisingly they read it as NEGATIVE. This is the problem I have with facilities that do these TB tests and do not have the experience to read them when the test seem questionable. A practitioner, a doctor, or anyone who has not experienced a variety of what the TB test can look like after a 48-72 hour reading should NEVER just establish that it's "positive" especially when the patient receiving the test does not fit the profile of someone who could have TB. (No foreign travel, no exposure to anyone with TB, no prolonged cough, born in the US, and a list of other criteria that do not fit the profile) SEEK A SECOND OPINION before you go down the path of x-rays and 9 months of antibiotics that could affect your health the rest of your life!! I recommend Lanikila clinic 100% They have been doing this for many many years and Have EXPERIENCE in reading many of these tests!!

Strike Three for Queens. Critique of the Queens Urgent Care Clinic Kahala outines Strikes One and Two. January 2023. Finally able to see an MD working upstairs. No warm fuzzies. Most practitioners focus on their laptops instead of me. After a short while, there's a tap on the door. MD says "Time's up." I didn't get to explain half my health issues! Although my blood pressure was elevated, no anti-hypertensive medications were prescribed. When I mentioned that I had problems with MDs in the past, she got very defensive. "Have I done that in this appointment?" or words to that effect. I also mentioned an unfortunate incident in December 2022 with the Queens Urgent Care Clinic downstairs. Again, defensively claiming "We have nothing to do with them." Oddly one pamphlet she gave me talked about how closely they work with the Urgent Care Clinic downstairs. INT WTF? Living nearby, and having lived in Pu'u Panini years ago, I expected better treatment considering the socioeconomic status of the community. Hah!

The staff was nice and I paid my bill at the time of service. Then I received and additional bill for more money. This type of thing is exactly why no one trusts the American medical system. Absolutely disgusting

Beautiful facilities and staff are friendly, personable, and highly efficient. Loved the doctors, very knowledgeable and thorough. Thank you Queens healthcare!

Came in for a health concern and the wait has been over 1 hour just sitting and waiting. I overheard another patient say that he was here a few weeks ago and waited 2 hours before he saw a doctor. What was even more hilarious was that the girl behind the reception desk said "well 1 hour wait is not very bad at all"! LOL! There is the Straub urgent care nearby and I will go there next time I need services.

Queens publicize online appointment system does not work. they never respond ever. you have to call their number and when you do there is always multiple calls ahead of you. Really thinking of finding another PCP. Who is great BTW. The problem is getting to him there the Medical center Medical center please hire more phone operators to support the number of calls you receive. we dont care about you appology for the delay. We dont want the delay. If an airline can do it so can you.

Today, May 9, 2022. I went into Kahala Queens Urgent care to get a PCR Covid test. I quote: (We don't just give out tests to anyone)They tried several ways to discourage me from getting one. I need one before a Queens ENT will make an appointment for me for a hard nodular neck gland…that might be serious. WTH? Also, they have the worst checkin system I have seen in quite awhile. A man came in with a very bad cut finger, he was asked to wait in line behind all of us. His bandage started over flowing with blood and the girls who had nobody in their line ignored him. Nobody offered to get additional gauze or some way for him to fill out their paperwork without bleeding on everything. They did keep asking for his work info and paperwork. It was disgusting. The almighty dollar comes first before helping him to just stop the blood flow. I left… it felt like everything there was just about money, not about healthcare. An older woman who could barely walk and get up the stairs came in for xrays, they had no patience with her, no compassion. The whole experience left me disgusted. I hope I never need their services.

My Sorority sister emailed that they are providing the Covid 2nd Booster! Walkins are welcomed! Hooray! The staff here are Awesome! Noelani & Kelly are very patient & efficient! Allison was my nurse! She is so nice, friendly & personable! She made me feel at ease & it was painless!! Thank u Allison! Charisma was my husband's nurse! So glad we did this together! He got Moderna & I got Pfizer! So happy they could do both! Check it out! Walkins are welcome! Monday-Saturday 8-7:30pm Closed on Sundays & 1-2 daily for lunch!
