My husband Dan has been Dr. Markarians patient for 5 plus years. Dan was fortunate to have Dr. Markarian on a Saturday morning when we rushed him into the Emergency. After nearly four hours she came out and told me what had happened to Dan and what she and another doctor did virtually chiseled out blockage and planted four stents Dan is doing well. She was most comforting. Her office staff is wonderful and my special thanks to her assistant John who has been most kind and helpful. Kay Tompkins in Kailua

I don't know how to put into words the gratitude I have for Dr. Markarian, and her team. I've had several chronic problems for many years, which got significantly worse this year. This year I found Dr. Lund at Trade Winds, who is now my my primary care physician. She's done a bunch of tests and gotten me started on the road to recovery, however she also wanted me to have a cardiologist involved. So she recommended Dr. Markarian at Kailua Cardiology.After an initial consult, followed by a range of tests, and ruling out several potential issues, Dr. Markarian started a treatment plan for my heart condition, and severe inflammation - fluid build-up throughout my body.Almost right away, I began feeling somewhat better. However she then modified that plan and since then, I've reached a point of 80% improvement across the board for several of my issues, including asthma like symptoms, chronic cough, shortness of breath, the inability to sleep lying down, pain & stiffness in my legs...While I have a lot more to deal with, the transformation already has been breathtaking.I can't thank Dr. Markarian, or her team, enough for the quality of their work, or their warmth and caring.

Dr Markarian saved the life of my wife two (2) times. She was very quick to diagnose what was happening and performed the necessary surgeries immediately after. Wife is doing great and we will always be grateful to have had Dr Markarian at such a critical time. I'm a doc grad from the same school. I was having weird 'pauses' in my heartbeat and getting weak so went to see another Cardio guy who was awful, NO EXAM, and I had to set up testing nearly a week later. Uh uh. I looked her up and went in as a new patient. She did a THOROUGH history, vitals (great staff, nursing and P.A.) and EXAM. Then she set me up right in-house for an Echo to look at how my heart was pumping, a stress echo + holter monitor SAME DAY. EXCELLENT OFFICE/EXAM/WORK-UP! Five star
