Nancy Chen's Online Review Report Card

I went to Dr Chen for a cosmetic laser procedure for wrinkles around my neck. It uses a laser and light, which turns to intense heat under the skin surface, and you must be able to tolerate reaching a certain temperature in order for the collagen to start forming. If you can't tolerate the procedure, which was over $400 for one treatment, you will be out of money and it won't work. Well I tolerated the pain alright. It was horrible. She had her assistant do it, and when she came back into the room, she said "is she dead yet?" after seeing my pained face. I didn't find this funny and I instantly regretted the lack of professionalism. To add insult to injury, the treatment didn't even work. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Nancy Chan deserves less than one star. First, when I had my appointments at 8 am, I had to wait for about 45 minutes for her to arrive because she was still on her way to the office. Second, all my issues concerning my eyes, she only told me to go home and come back at a later date, and to use the hot compress and a medicine that we only sell here and the insurance does not cover. Instead of my eyes getting better, they are getting worse. Finally, when she decided to do something different instead of sending me home, they did not assist me because my previous referral was expired, but my new one was being faxed. They dont care about people; they care about money.

Do not go to this doctor! After being a patient for several years, I called her emergency service one morning because I woke up blind in one eye. She was very upset when I went in to see her and told me never to have her service call her before 7:00 am. She told me to go home, do yoga or meditation, and take my blood pressure every hour. After visiting the ER a week later with another episode, I found out from a real doctor, unlike Chen who specializes in plastic surgery, that I had a Vitreous hemorrhage which needed to be treated immediately.

I gave it a one start just so i could share my experience that ive had with Nancy Chen, she as a business owner is a very judgemental person, while visiting for my yearly eye exam she mentioned that she also owned a spa that she has that would help me get rid of my belly which totally came out of no where also to include eating healthy and going on a diet would help me..... just be cause i have diabetes she shouldnt be telling me about going on a diet or checking out her spa... im there to check my eyes. I have withdrew my eye care along with 3 of my family members as to i dont like Nancy Chens disrespect. As the owner i would expect some kind of higher standard and professionalism.

There is no middle road with her. She either sends you immediately to the ER or questions why you called her emergency service and bothered her at 6:00 in the morning when you had almost totally lost vision in your eye. She lectures instead of talks and tells you to just meditate or keeps you on high doses of prednisone for months and tells you that your body will shut down organ by organ and go brain dead if you go off it. This prognosis was not substantiated by any other specialist who analyzed the same medical records. You never know which direction she’ll take when you walk in her office or call her. Her diagnosis are so off the wall, you never really know how serious your condition is.

She put drops in my eyes which Blinded Me. She got away with it. Hmsa and other government agencies just let her get away with it

I was visiting Hawaii on vacation when I had a sudden change in vision in my left eye. Dr. Chen was extremely accommodating and fit in my appointment within the hour. She and her entire staff were welcoming, professional, and extremely thorough. She was able to make a diagnosis and gave me copies of my chart and scans so I could follow up with an ophthalmologist back home. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Chen without reservation.

From the staff at the front desk to the technicians to Dr. Eng and Dr. Chen; everyone is awesome! I had an ulcer in my eye and Dr. Chen saw me the same day despite her full schedule. Dr. Chen is outstanding. Smart, caring, kind, she really listens and I so appreciate her! Dr. Eng is outstanding as well. I saw her for an annual eye exam, she is really kind, professional and smarr! She worked with me to find the best solution for my vision needs. A big mahalo to the entire staff!

having cataract surgery with deluxe lens is the best thing that ever happened to me. It's amazing and I can see perfectly now without using contact lens and eyeglasses. I can say I was blind before my cataract surgery and now I can see everything. I am very happy with Dr Chen's surgery. Thank you Dr. Chen
