List of Eric Vaughan's Reviews
He treated my husband as if he were an interruption of his time and after waiting for hours being ignored or spoken to with an irritated tone, sent us to a specialist who compensated for the awful experience with Dr. Vaughn.
Unprofessional attitude
Emergency room for severe belly pain
People like him should not be caring for people. He didn’t even hear us over his rude and assumptive interruptions. Patients seeking professional medical treatment are not going to receive proper care and suffer the consequences of Dr. Eric Vaughan’s inability to listen or truly see the person who is looking for support when they add feeling so low they came to the Emergency Room. I hope someday ...
Dr Vaughan failed to hear anything I said over his arrogance. He attempted to treat me for something unrelated to my complaints while flirting with staff and speaking over me. I left and went to st josephs hospital which proved to be an excellent decision. Dr. Vaughan is clearly not in the medical field because he cares about his patients. His demeanor and attitude are not what you want to encounter when you are not feeling well. Horrible. And sadly he does not have to be empathetic to patients since he does not rely on established patient clientele. It’s best to avoid any hospital he works in. Undoubtedly anyone would be more accommodating and appropriate.
I will never return to KU Med based on this doctor. Go anywhere else.?
Unprofessional. Worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Dr. Vaughan gave me the creeps.
Intelligent, Efficient, and Thorough. Even though the Emergency Room was very busy and there were many patients in the waiting room, I was quickly seen and and evaluated. Dr. Vaughan is Incredible
Dr. Vaughan was attending Dr. in visit to KU ER. He relied on an incompetent resident, and when informed of the poor care, did nothing. I was in the ER 10 hrs for a common issue. I was not given pain meds for the first three hours with a pain scale rating of 8. Then given such a small amount of meds that my pain came right back. (And there was proof on CT that I had a pain causing issue). The CT took 6 hrs to get, when it is standard protocol for my issue. I had a horrible experience, poor pain management and poor communication. Scheduled for a surgery with zero information from consulting team, all left open ended. Had to find out from my primary what was up. Ridiculous.
I went in to KU med with abdominal pains and Dr. Vaughan was able to get to the bottom of it faster than any other time I have been to any other ER in my life. Plus he turned what was a slightly embarassing situation and made me super comfortable by telling jokes and keeping me entertained. I know it's luck of the draw who you get when you go into the ER but I was very happy that he was my doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
