Great staff, clean place, quick ER time. Quite impressed!
I recently visited the ER and I can say the front end staff was amazing. I do feel like I was racially profiled. The doctor took one look at us and he never came to the room. He ordered labs and an X-ray about 2 hours later a random nurse drops the discharge paper on my lap and told me I was discharged. I was shocked and he seen my facial expression, and then asked me did the doctor come in I said no! He took the paperwork back, and didn’t even verify who I was. He then went into the computer and gave me a diagnosis when I asked isn’t the doctor the one to give results and diagnosis? He then excused himself and said the doctor said I can leave I have xxx. When I asked to speak with the doctor he said no he has more important patients to see. I was weary that I had pneumonia he still refused to come show me my X-ray results. Long story short I went to get rechecked the next day and turned out I did have what I thought. Mind you they told me to take nausea meds for something I never said or complained about. When leaving all the doctors and nurses were sitting at their stations laughing away. I figured who was supposed to be my doctor because of the look he gave us leaving. You could clearly see the hate and disgust in his face the way he looked at us. If I ever have an emergency I will take the risk of the longer drive before I ever come back to Wahaiwa ER.
Let me start by saying the staff (except the security officer ) was amazing and I know they did everything to resuscitate my papa. However the security he’s of a bigger build and bald was very rude. My grandfather just passed away and you think he would be a little nicer to people who are grieving. Additionally he STEPED to my sister who is 100 lbs soaking wet as if he would do something to her. Mind you this man is like 250-300lbs. Anyway waiting to speak to his supervisor now just avoid him at all cost
I went in to the ER and received Great care! I was in and out quickly, must have been a quiet night for the ER. The staff was kind and efficient! Dr. Day was attentive and explained things well! Great experience!
Stephanie the ER nurse at Wahiawa Queens hospital was an angel. Very pleasant, courteous and kind. She was very professional and took great care of my husband when we went to the ER on Thursday at 4am. She was a God send. She was able to relieve his pain in 10 seconds. She got permission to do one try or else they would have to transport him to Queens in town. Thank God that Stephanie was there working that shift. Thank you so much Stephanie!!! I was the lady that asked about your fork tattoo. You know what you did was miraculous.
The worst hospital ever!! I called them 10-15 times to try to pay my bill or get a paying plan going all they said is will get back to you every time and know they put us on Collection !!
I am extremely disappointed with the level of care and service at Wahiawa ER. In the past, our experiences here were great, but now it's a completely different story. I brought my 2-year-old daughter in today because the UCC was packed, and I thought we'd have a good experience based on our previous visits. Unfortunately, this time was a nightmare. We waited in the front lobby for about an hour, which was frustrating but not the worst part. When they finally took us back, we were led to a small, cramped room that resembled a closet. It was clear that this room was not typically used for treating patients but seemed more like a space for isolating individuals who might be a danger to themselves. As we were being shown to the room, I saw a nurse cleaning up blood, which was concerning. This nurse, who was tall and had dirty blonde hair, casually mentioned, "Just cleaning up a little bit of blood." This was an immediate red flag. To make matters worse, there was no TV in the room, and instead, there was a camera positioned where the TV should have been. I don’t know if the camera was functional, but I was uncomfortable with the idea of my daughter being examined in a room with a camera, especially without any explanation or consent. The fact that they were cleaning up blood right before bringing us in, without any proper preparation or consideration for our safety, was completely unacceptable. I have seen a lot during my time in the military, but this experience was the most disrespectful and unprofessional I have ever encountered in a medical setting. The lack of regard for my daughter's well-being and the overall experience at Wahiawa ER was appalling. This place needs serious improvement to meet even the most basic standards of care and respect.
Terrible now that queens took over terrible service!. That was my experience with such sarcasm response an high nose attitudes.. Telling me go here for my meds an sent it some where else making me go out of my way. Telling me the answers i all ready know. Waste my time. Still dont know what's wrong.
I was afraid, given reviews, when I had to bring my daughter in Tuesday night with severe stomach pain, vomiting, and a high fever. Wahiawa general was prompt and friendly and had us into a room within 10 minutes. We felt constantly checked in on and informed, despite the late hour. Ultimately, we had to transfer to Kapioloni for an appendectomy (Wahiawa doesn’t have a surgical suite), but they made the process easy. I’d especially like to thank the kind nurse who brought my daughter a stuffed rabbit. She loved on it all night and up until surgery and it has been her comfort item during recovery.
Sunday, March 3 ,2024 I went to the Emergency Room with Atrial Fibrillation. The registration lady would not acknowledge that I was even there when I tried to tell her my situation. My companion told her I was having a heart attack- no response from her . We left and went to Tripler where I was treated for Atrial Fibrillation- a life threatening condition. I could have died standing in front of her window and she would not have cared. What a travesty.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
