I did like Dr Kelly at first. I took her to my mom because she needed a geriatric specialist who could not only monitor her diabetes but recognize when there might problems that arise and work to help solve them Over the course of a couple of years she grew to be a very impatient and defensive person. The one instance a few months back was when my mom was working towards a cancer diagnosis. We had to go through a battery of complicated tests, one scan which required a low glucose level. My mom has diabetes and I called Dr Kelly to discuss. My moms diabetes was out of control and it was an emergency to get it under control so we could take that test. Instead of working with me, she became defensive and basically blamed me for giving her things that raised her sugar (which I did not). She changed one medication but that didn’t help. She then said to bring her in and I told her my mom would come in, but then said oh I am going on vacation. That was it. I took my mom to an endocrinologist and he immediately put her on insulin and changed 2 other diabetes medications which quickly brought my Moms sugar back to normal levels. Had Dr Kelly did her job and took what my mom was going through more seriously, I would not be writing this review. She needs to be held accountable. She needs to know that you become a doctor to help patients in whatever way you can. Dr Kelly failed. My mom did finally get that important scan done and did wind up with a stage 2 lung cancer diagnosis that we just finished 15 rounds of radiation for. It’s sad that Dr Kelly didn’t even so much we pick up the phone to call and ask how things were going. She doesn’t care. Don’t waste your time under her care. I did like Dr Kelly at first. Dr. Kelly is the kind of practitioner one wishes they could have. She was the doctor who truly made my difficult health challenges seem manageable because of her care, her dedication and her knowledge. She is an exceptional physician, and I only wish she had not moved away so that I still could have her as my GP.

I've been a patient of Dr. Kelly's for 25 years, and have followed her from NYU Medical Center in NYC to Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow to Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn. She's a great internist with a fabulous knowledge of diabetes. I'm 77 and will continue to follow her. She takes the time!

Dr. Kelly is thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. I cannot imagine a more caring or astute physician.

Absolutely disgusting excuse for a doctor. Has gone on to deny every single one of my health issues. Also, instead of helping me find the right treatment for my back pain, she simply said I should just change careers and stop working out in the gym. Multiple other doctors have told me to stay away from her. She's been nothing but hurtful. You can sense it in her attitude alone, which is miserable. I think she's the one who should be changing careers.

Dr Kelly is without question one of the top, if not the top physician in the area. Her thorough exams, attention to detail and overall knowledge reminds me of Dr. Chodosh who I was lucky to have had years ago. She takes her time and never rushes you out the door and listens intently while taking it all in and typing it into her computer. She has access to all records and testing within the Phelps network and is able to streamline care very efficiently. Dr. Kelly's staff is excellent!

I have been a patient of Dr Kelly's for 10 years. She is the most caring, thinking Dr ; she leaves no stone unturned - always gives a tremendous amount of time to listen and talk through details of how I am feeling. She is also complete with running tests that are necessary to gain full information.

Dr. Kelly is a wonderful doctor. It is rare to find a doctor who cares for her patients in a thoughtful, thorough, and kind manner. Her passion for medicine and the wellness of her patients is evident with every visit. When I had blood tests, she called me at 7:00 pm on Friday night to give me the results in a thorough manner. I have so much respect for her.

I've never been treated by a physician in all of my 52 years as I was by Dr. Kelly. She did not speak to me; she snarled at me. She was not just unfriendly, she was contemptuous, dismissive of everything I had to say. She interrupted, blamed me for--amazingly--taking medication she prescribed for me! Mind you, I am not a combative woman. In fact, I was so worried I was being unfair, I went to see her as second time! (Or maybe there is something wrong with me; I'm a masochist!) Unfortunately my assessment of her was exactly correct--she treated me as rudely and hostilely the second time as the first. There are many GPs out there. Life is short--don't burn any of yours up with her.

I'm still seeing her after 26 years!
