Years ago he operated on my ankle. He never admitted after several surgeries that the foot was deformed. Got second opinion at U of Iowa and that ankle specialist took one look at the xrays and said This is bad. This is really bad.
My mother died from horrible post care from a hip surgery resulting in an infection and sepsis. Never looked at her incision had her remove her clothes to look at her leg took her temp watched her walk etc. Too busy...spent mere minutes with her each time and we felt like a number. Despite or efforts to keep her alive it was too late. Find someone else.
Spent zero time with patient. In and out as fast as he can. Youre a number. Did no follow up post hip surgery with my mom didnt examine her wound do blood work didnt watch her move....horrible post surgical care and she had both a blood clot and died of Sepsis post surgery. If I could give a zero I would
Dr Pape is a very good physician.
I couldnt ask for a better surgeon. Dr. Pape has taken such great care of me. Since my injury with my pilon fracture to my right leg on September 8th 2017 he has made sure my healing process is as comfortable as possible and his expertise is more than greatness Thank you Dr. Pape Angie Weiler
Poor surgeon. Kept me in surgery an extra 2 hours because he couldnt find a bone fragment in my wrist. Put two pins in my wrist and then a cast. Pain was incredible but he ignored me. After my insistence he took off the cast and to his shock he said he thought he trimmed back the pins far enough but didnt. The pins were sticking out so far causing me great pain. He said he needed to remove them right away. Still ignored the pain I was in after the torn cartilage. No sympathy from this Dr.
very good Dr and a nice man

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
