Sajida Ahad's Online Review Report Card

My daughter had her surgery Friday afternoon at 3:45. We were not prepared in many ways and things did not go well. We only had 3 days to prepare and only 10 minutes with Dr Ahad. We had many questions and some were answered. After her surgery were unable to get multiple prescriptions filled at our pharmacy here in town. (Iowa City) They questioned the pain meds, did not have NS to flush wound with, no lidocaine, abd pads etc. I spoke with Dr Ahad about these issues Friday night after my daughter was made to wait after surgery in the car while I tried in vain to get things sorted out. Dr Ahad followed up with me the next am while I was trying 3 different pharmacy's to get what I needed. After my daughter's first drsg change she had uncontrollable bleeding and we had to return to Mercy ER in CR and waited until had to wait until after the Iowa game started. Dr Ahad had to stich the bleed and gave me some wound supplies. Monday I called her nurse and was told to just wean Lilly off the pain meds if she was not needing them and then Dr Ahad gave me a note excusing Friday and Monday. I called back today because I missed Tuesday as well, and told the nurse my daughter was very nauseated. I was told they could not give me an excuse for Tuesday because they were not sure if the nausea was because of the surgery and I should have called Tuesday. All this time is without pay that I would not have needed it if things had gone much better. And, Dr Ahad does not know my daughter's other conditions and she needed me. I am very upset about how things have gone. I did not have the time to get a second opinion and I wish I had known what I know now. I only gave the 2 stars because Dr Ahad did seem to care some.

Dr. Ahad was extremely thorough throughout every phase of my procedure. I believe my positive outcome was due to the knowledge and preparation I was given prior to and the support and follow-up afterward. I would highly recommend Dr. Ahad.

She saved my husband's life... She's the best wouldn't want any one else

My husband had Dr. Ahad for his Nissen Fundoplication procedure. She was beyond words fantastic. Very very patient, listens to and addresses aaalll your concerns. She has a very cute witty sense of humor. She takes time to be very thorough. And her office staff .... out of this world amazing. I would recommend Dr. Ahad to anyone anytime. I literally cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ahad AND her staff. Everything you'd ever want in a doctor .... Dr. Ahad possesses.

The only reason these people give her good reviews, is because their cases must have been easy to handle. If you have any problems & there is a chance it will effect her good rating, she'll dump you.I was in the process to get my weight loss band surgery and doing everything she told me to do, but it was never enough. Between what the insurance paid and what I paid personally, I had invested thousands of dollars for her to cancel my surgery 1 week before I was scheduled. I lost 60 lbs, which in my case was great, because I never have been able to loose weight easily. I excerised all the time and couldn't loose weight. All that money down the drain and I'm still paying it off. I was not going to be an easy case and when she couldn't get me to change my mind. She up and cancelled my surgery.I'm not the only one she has done this too.So if you might have any problems, do not go to Dr. Ahad or you'll be in the same boat I'm in. Out lots of money and no surgery.
