This surgeon placed a titanium cage around two lower lumbar discs, relieving my significant other of 17 years of chronic lower back daily pain. The surgery went perfect, he healed very quickly and Dr. Elgafy was very good at following up and advising. He always answers all questions. He is outstanding at this procedure and after care.The only complaint, not his fault, was the hospital bed was extremely uncomfortable, not designed well for back surgery patients.

Dr. Elgafy performed interbody cage procedure on my significant other. The surgery went absolutely perfect and relieved him of the chronic daily pain he had experienced for over 17 years with two badly damanged discs. . He healed quickly with no issues . Dr.Elgafy has to be one of the leading experts in this procedure and he is also very kind with great bedside manner, he listens to his patients.

Dr.Elgafy is amazing! It will be 9 years since he did my back surgery..best decision ever made by me and him! Has since performed back surgery on my elderly father...same scenario with fantastic results!

Had one appt with this doctor. OMG what a crackpot. Asked if I smoked. Yes i do, but never during my fusion surgeries. Dr said all my problems are due to smoking. All I asked about was some muscle injections for a pinched nerve. The last spine guy always said my fusions were filling in and looked great. This surgeon recommended a revision and I asked one question. When that surgery fails, what then? He responded with a grin: Well, I don't know The wife and I were floored!

Dr Elgafy is very detailed in assessing a diagnoses. He doesn't make quick inaccurate judgments. Before seeing Dr Elgafy I had seen 4 other spine specialists for 4 months and none of them were able to diagnose my problem correctly. After 2 visits with Dr Elgafy identified the cause and and needed procedure to correct the problem. I know a lot of people complain about wait times in his office, but this is due to him being detailed in his examinations and in my opinion well worth it.

After seeing 4 other spinal specialists for 4 months, with no results, I went to Dr Elgafy and after 2 visits he identified the problem and the correct procedure to resolve it. He is very detailed in his examinations and clearly gives his findings and courses of action. He is a very good listener and adresses your questions. An excellent Dr that I would recommend to anyone having back/spine issues.

Really good Dr. knows his stuff. Needs to improve on bedside manor but patients need to understand his work load as well. I would recommend him anytime. His nurses are very pleasent too.
