I was impressed with the depth of her questions, her sensitivity & recommendations. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
My son was referred to her due to his clinical depression and suspected ADHD which he has suffered from for years and is well documented. She took one look at him and asked him if he was looking for stimulants. Completely humiliated him, didnt show an interest in his past medical history and told him to go to the gym. Basically dismissed him. This woman is in the wrong profession and he felt worse spending 20 minutes with her than he did before he walked in. If your mental health is fragile, find someone else.
This doctor is rushed, doesn’t listen, and has pathological need to hurt you.
My experience was odd. She seems like a very nice person, encouraging and friendly, but at least once during every appointment she would just say something odd. Like describing my traumatic childhood as "fascinating." I didn't really feel like she understood the things I was telling her. I eventually just stopped going because I didn't like how it felt.
Been seeing Dr. Weiss for over two years now and she’s one of the better psychiatrists I’ve seen in 20 years. She listens to my concerns and always makes a point of asking me if there’s anything else she can do for me. I’ve seen several different providers at Broadlawns in the past that I haven’t cared for. Dr. Weiss has been so much better than any other provider at Broadlawns.
I wanted to leave no stars. She told me there’s no medication to help with PTSD. She was forgetful during our telephone call and wanted to rush to end the the session. This was the a one time session. She never has met me in person and didn’t even opt for a zoom call. So no video.... just audio. How can you get a real picture of someone you’ve never met? It was a waste of my time and I am still suffering from extreme anxiety and panic attacks. She even suggested that I go to Des Moines Pastorial.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
