Mark Kellerman's Online Review Report Card

I was referred to Mark Kellerman, M.D. by my primary care physician. A better choice could not have been made. The staff at Urology Center of Iowa are all very pleasant and professional, this includes the receptionists, technicians, and nurses. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kellerman. He is a very pleasant man. From day one he explained the nature of my condition and assured me that it was not life threatening. Treatment went from conservative (medication), to surgical. The surgery consisted of greenlight laser for BPH. The surgery was a complete success — all symptoms have completely resolved, and I was recently discharged from care. If you are fortunate enough to find yourself under Dr. Kellerman’ s care, you can be confident that you are in good hands.

My experience at this clinic has been excellent. The staff is helpful and friendly. Dr Kellerman is why I go to this clinic. He is thorough and personable. I have a rare condition that he took upon himself to research and understand. I am confident in the care Dr Kellerman provides to me.

You need a DR that will go above and beyond? Well you have found him, and thankfully I did too! He was my last hope for kidney (ureter) issues after Chemo and radiation, and several other doctors. We have made alot of progress and still have some to go. He is very confident and dedicated in all that he does. And has not given up on me :) The Urology team of Iowa overall is a great place with experienced doctors!

I’ve been treated very professionally by Dr Kellerman and his staff for cancer in the urinary tract. The doctor has a great disposition that puts me at ease through a stressful situation. He gives me confidence. Thanks UCI.

Went UCI to deal with a high PSA number. Scheduled a Prostate biopsy and found out I had Prostate Cancer. Dr Kellerman & Dr Wild were extremely helpful in helping me with a plan to correct my diagnosis. We determined that Prostate removal was the best option and moved forward. Everything moved so smoothly we had a plan scheduled Surgery for 3 weeks later. Had Surgery at Iowa Methodist on Thursday March 25th it was very easy to get settled in had Surgery at 12:00 was in recovery at 4:00 in room talking with wife at 4:30. Had talked with nurses and Dr Kellerman stopped to check in which was such a nice touch. Saw Dr Kellerman the next morning had to do some laps around my floor and was able to go home that afternoon. I can’t tell you how grateful I am with UCI and staff. I had Catheter removed on Thursday April fools day great day to have it done. Now resting comfortably at home walking and getting my life jumpstarts and live it to my fullest because of Dr Kellerman and UCI.

Dr Kellerman was amazing through diagnosis, options for care, Surgery, and recovery and life choices for the future. Staff was amazing and helpful glad to be a patient.

I had an initial appointment with Dr Kellerman today. I was very impressed with his professionalism and willingness to spend time answering questions about a possible treatment plan. I had some concerns about the UroLift procedure and he offered possible solutions to mitigate pain and side effects.

Dr. Kellerman is one of the best urologists I have seen. Extremely knowledgeable, caring and compassionate, he has treated both my husband and myself.

Dr Kellerman is a very nice & engaging man. He is full of confidence. However, I found his work lacking. He performed a trans-urethral re sectioning procedure on me to increase a constricted stream. 3 months later my stream was a trickle & I was back in surgery so he could fix a stricture caused by the original TURP. 3 more months elapsed & my stream was again a trickle & I returned for yet another stricture treatment. Some months passed & I decided to go to University Hospitals in Iowa City. The urologist there fixed me up on the first try. It's been several years, the stricture is gone & my stream is robust.
