Roscoe Morton's Online Review Report Card

Cancer is a hard enough thing to deal with.. I grew up around it, lived with it and worked with it all my life. Dr. Morton is a very factual person. He is caring and compassionate, but not to those who are just drug seeking. He knows the ins and outs of everything you could possibly have a question to. He is also very blunt, which is nice. Some people get very mad with cancer because it is hard to prevent in some cases, and some people have to find someone to blame, the doctor is not the one to blame. Dr Morton is more than willing to help where he can. He is amazing at what he does!

Dr Morton has a terrible bedside manner and he is very dishonest.

Dr. Morton made special arrangements to meet with me and my family after I was diagnosed. He explained everything he knows so far and what the next steps will be. Dr. Morton and his nurse were very calming in answering our questions with a caring and compassionate demeanor. I feel fortunate and blessed that he & his staff will be taking care of me through this tough time.

I did not know anything about cancer until I heard the dreaded words, You have cancer! I was referred to Dr. Morton and he made me and my family completely at ease knowing that he was at the helm of my ship to recovery. He is smart, well-connected internationally with the treatments of cancer, and is a wonderful cheerleader to his patients! He is my hero!

Dr Morton is a passionate, caring physican. He has been my oncologist for over 20 years.

These are my opinions. Dealing with cancer is difficult enough and add Roscoe Morton to the mix and it makes it even worse. I have lost a parent to cancer under the care of Morton and have waited several months before posting anything to see if I still felt the anger and frustration of feeling like a 2nd class citizen, which is the way this doctor made me feel. It is several months after the death of my parent and I still feel the way I felt about Roscoe Morton on the day that my parent died. My opinion is that he would be a better fit not dealing with people. Perhaps he would be better suited working in a lab where he does not need to interact with people. He did not seem genuinely interested in my parents health. It felt like my parent was a number and not an actual person. Scheduling was always very difficult and it was (what turned out to be my parents last week of life) that the true colors of his staff were also shown. I overheard the way the staff talked to the nurse and it was very unprofessional and sad. If you are reading this, it is likely because you are dealing with some form of cancer. That is challenging enough for anyone to handle. You need a doctor that you are comfortable with. Keep searching and God bless you.
